Oh, Look! A Sequel We Don’t Need!

Oy. Please, God, no!

I foresee endless franchise sequels

My Best Friend's Prostate Operation

My Best Friend's Face Lift

My Best Friend's 6th Wedding

My Best Friend's 50th High School Reunion

At this point, I'd rather see a sequel of "Indecent Proposal".

Why? The original was perfect. Julia Roberts didn't get the guy; Dermot Mulroney was calm and quiet; Cameron Diaz was adorable; Philip Bosco and Susan Sullivan did what they do best as Diaz's wealthy parents; but the film, of course, belongs to Rupert Everett.

One of my favorite romantic comedies, probably because it was slightly subversive, positing America’s Sweeheart as the ostensible heroine, who gradually reveals herself to be the villain, albeit one that the audience can still root for, sort of.

My favorite performances from Julia Roberts and Rupert Everett. And I like both actors, even though DL regularly roasts them.

I’d be up for checking back in with the characters - including those of Mulroney and Diaz - if the sequel had as sharp a script as its predecessor.

The moment I wake up...

Do Julia and Dermot meet up again with their respective grandchildren?

He needs a much better dye job. It looks like he did this one at home with Just for Men.

I did not like the original so will definitely skip this.

Original director P.J. Hogan hasn't done anything in 10 years. Anyone know what happened to him? Side note: I'm shocked to find out the director of Muriel's Wedding is straight!

I fucking hated this movie! Overrated crap.

I had the strangest dream. I dreamt that some psychopath was trying to make a sequel. Luckily, I woke up and I see that the world is just as it should be. The now quite bitchy Rupert Everett is not waking up, putting on makeup for that sequel.

R7 What dye job? His hair is completely grey.
