What are the best payment apps that shield your info from vendors?

I’m more and more aware how widespread information leaks are so I’d rather use debit card info as little as possible.

Google Pay and Apple Pay. They don't actually share your credit card number with the vendor. They use a one-time virtual number so even if there system gets hacked, they don't have your actual credit card info. It's also better to use Google or Apple wallet for your ATM card. Inserting your card into an ATM machine can be risky as someone nefarious may have put a scanner in the machine. Same at gas pumps.
