Tasteful Friends--Best Food Catalogs?

Typing fat here to ask DL--are there any gourmet food catalogs out there that you recommend? I've been an intermittent Zingerman's customer for several years, but I'm kind of played out on the breads and cakes--their product line hasn't expanded much over the years.

I haven't had good luck with Goldbelly--hard to justify the shipping costs unless the product is utterly unique (I tried ordering one of those jiggly Japanese cheesecakes, and my shipment was delayed by a freak NYC-area storm, so arrived spoiled and smashed--and no refund).

Have you found any hidden gems out there for either prepared or special/giftable food items?

For spices, the approved DataLounge spice merchant is Penzeys.

Caroline's Cakes if you want sweet. Best carrot cake ever and I'm not a huge carrot cake fan but they are super moist and has the best cream cheese icing I've ever tasted.

We used to like Sanders Candy for gifts until they wanted an extra fee to insure that their products arrived safely (like insurance) in addition to the shipping fee.

If they can’t pack it right or use services that deliver it in edible condition the way it’s supposed to look and taste, I’ll be damned if I’m paying for their mistakes.

Dakin Farm in Vermont has never let me down.

If you want to send pasta, Scratch Pasta from Lynchburg, VA has nice gift boxes.

Talbot & Arding in Hudson, NY has some cute choices as well.

Their smoky bacon is the overwhelming crowd pleaser at Benton.

When you want superior bacon, Yankees have Nueske's and in the South there's Benton's.

I get Good Chop meat. Cheaper than Omaha steaks and it’s good. I love getting mail order meat because it’s already vacuum packed in serving size.
