Why aren’t Christian countries taking in other Christians?
Muslim countries are always called out for not taking other Muslims like Lebanese and Afghans—as if all Muslims are the same.
Yet Italy, Portugal, Spain, etc, are all making it tougher for Americans, most of whom are Christians too, from relocating there.
Why do we have a double standard?

The US takes in massive numbers of immigrants. More than any other country by a large margin. According to Pew Research, the US hosts 1/5 of the total number of worldwide migrants. Not necessarily from "Christian" countries, but mostly from Christian majority countries.

OP raise an interesting point, but maybe not quite as intended. Christians (and other religious minorities) in the Islamic world suffer very real and enormous persecution, Lebanese Christians being one example. Christian countries like Italy, Portugal, Spain could step up to the plate for those people, far more than for American Christians who are not generally being persecuted anywhere in the US to my knowledge, and certainly far more than for Muslim refugees who should be going to more compatible destinations

Generally speaking, Muslim nations are overcrowded for their resources, especially water in the Middle East and north Africa. Most Muslim nations are also very poor. A few Muslim nations with oil resources have developed desalinization plants to provide more water, but that is a limited resource, because it is so energy intensive. Most Muslims do not subscribe to the notion that overpopulation leads to problems, instead teaching that Allah will provide. Women in many Islamic nations are not encouraged to plan their families, and most don't have access to contraception. Nonetheless, most Muslim nations don't encourage immigration from other Muslim nations, so, on a certain level, they recognized their resource limitations.
Europe is a densely populated continent, but it also has abundant water resources. Beside, all DL rhetoric to the contrary, many Muslims are eager to get to freer political systems and ones with fewer personal restrictions.
There is an almost instant drop in births per mother when Muslim families emigrate to Western nations.
