So many wonderful turns on stage and screen, from The Music Lovers to Mahler, Pennies from Heaven (the far superior 1978 TV version), Measure for Measure, The Avenger, Inspector Morse (possibly the best episode, Second Time Around), Foyle's War, Peaky Blinders, and more. But to me, Ken (as he liked to be called) will always be Lloyd Kirby, the wide-eyed ufologist in that episode of Midsomer Murders (R2 beat me to it).
I know it's a cliché, but you really don’t get character actors like that anymore.

I remember the episode, but why do you feel it was the best Inspector Morse, R3?
