I believe Leslie Ann Waren was the Scarlett in one of the adaptions. I love Warren but the idea of her as a singing and dancing Scarlett... I believe it was a Harold Rome score. I imagine It must have been done in two 4 hour parts like Nicholas Nickleby. Or Einstein on the Beach.
