‘Everything here is just better’: Ellen DeGeneres confirms she moved to the UK because of Donald Trump

Aren't the taxes egregious for rich people in the UK?
by Anonymous | reply 1 | July 21, 2025 2:59 PM |
R1, Ellen is currently jobless.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | July 21, 2025 3:02 PM |
She's not necessarily wrong.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | July 21, 2025 3:06 PM |
does that include the p*ssy?🙄
by Anonymous | reply 4 | July 21, 2025 3:07 PM |
For all her talk (since HW Bush was up for re-election), I doubt Miss Streisand is leaving her Malibu compound. CHICKEN!
by Anonymous | reply 5 | July 21, 2025 3:10 PM |
They won't like her any more than we did.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | July 21, 2025 3:24 PM |
Probably less

She needs to read the news about the water companies.

[quote] DeGeneres had previously commented on the controversy in her 2024 US tour, saying she was “kicked out of show business” for being “mean”.
[quote]On Sunday, she made similar comments on stage. “No matter what, any article that came up, it was like, ‘She’s mean’,” DeGeneres said. “How do I deal with this without sounding like a victim or ‘poor me’ or complaining? But I wanted to address it.”
[quote] “I’m a direct person, and I’m very blunt, and I guess sometimes that means that ... I’m mean?”
If you act like a vicious, mean-spirited cunt, people are likely to call you mean.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | July 21, 2025 3:36 PM |
Well, the teeth aren't, for sure.

I'm really curious what makes one pick the place that decide to vote for Brexit if they're looking for stability in the likely dark years ahead.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | July 21, 2025 4:19 PM |
Nor the food!

I don’t care for Ellen but good for her. If I had that kind of money I’d leave the USA in a heartbeat. The UK with all its faults isn’t as batshit crazy, cruel and isn’t run by psychopaths like this country. It’s a frightening, dangerous time to be living here.

It makes you tactless at the very least, Ellen.

We don’t all have the financial or social clout to be able to window-shop for a nation to live in.
And some of us care about the USA and don’t want to see it circling the drain. We want to stay and defend it from creeping plutocracy.
Speaking of circling the drain …

She's a stone-cold bitch, but at least she finally admits and realize no one was buying her "I'm the victim" routine in her final stand-up tour..

I wonder who she socializes with. Is she lonely every day, with only Portia to entertain her, or does she have a circle of British friends? I imagine her alone in an extravagant living room, slouched in a chair, wearing pajamas and a scowl. Then the dog walks by and pauses to lick himself before leaving the room.

It sounds like she's on her way to finally admitting that she's an insufferable turbo-cunt. "I guess sometimes that means that I'm mean" is an improvement over the self-pity bullshit she was slinging.
I wonder if she's in therapy.

Oh yeah? Well she has her MILLYUNS and MILLYUNS!
Who needs friends when you're THAT RICH?!

Rosie probably has more friends than Ellen

Isn’t there some island, like maybe North Sentinel, that they both could be sent to?

O’Donnell or Barr?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | July 21, 2025 11:10 PM |
It really bugs me that these celebs are all deserting the US like rats leaving a sinking ship. Stay and fight, use your influence to fight the fascists. Don't run away because you have a lot of money to do that. Fucking cowards.

Doesn't she need some sort of visa to "move" there?
As with all things from Ellen, this statement is merely performative.

She could use MasterCard too, dummyhead!!!

I’m sick of her. But must admit she looks pretty damn good in OP’s pic. Can that possibly be recent? Other recent pics of her have her looking like death warmed over.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | July 22, 2025 1:14 AM |
R26 Exactly. That’s a verrrrry flattering photo of her.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | July 22, 2025 1:25 AM |
I have nothing against the UK, beautiful countryside, beautiful gowns, but I do wish they would add a little flavor to their food.

She’s a earl grey CUNT!

Clearly not the haircuts.
Or the dermatologists.

I heard she paid someone to cut Anne Heche’s brake lines.

I don't like deGeneres in the least, but somewhat to her credit it doesn't seem that she dithered or threatened to do it forever. She acted quickly and seemingly decisively. But that's certainly a decision made easier with a few hundred millions behind you.
But the US is already in a fairly advanced state of "circling the drain," advancing fast toward impossible to stop what's well underway and soon beyond restoration.
Elena deGeneres, Portia de Rossi, Eva Longoria, Richard Gere, Courtney Love, Rosie O'Donnell, Gabriel Macht... I don't see these 7 superheroes rescuing those USA freedoms on one side of the pond or the other.
The US is too far gone and uglier times are ahead. I urge friends who can find a way to move.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | July 22, 2025 5:30 AM |
Oh Ellen- in short time those Brit’s are gonna hate you just as much as we do.

The last thing she needs to do is draw attention to her ears.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | July 22, 2025 5:35 AM |
In the US, these very rich celebs are completely insulated from most of the bad things this administration can inflict on people, if anybody is. Personally I would rather see them protesting than moving. Ellen is a Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient, for Pete's sake.
