I find myself exhausted all the time...I don't drink or smoke live a pretty healthy lifestyle am not overweight and I'm always tired

by Anonymousreply 33July 21, 2025 12:25 PM

I was too tired to lift my hands to wash my hair...

by Anonymousreply 1July 21, 2025 12:20 AM

How old are you?

by Anonymousreply 2July 21, 2025 12:22 AM

Do you drink coffee?

by Anonymousreply 3July 21, 2025 12:24 AM

I used to be that way until I started taking B-complex vitamins. I had to cut back to every other day since it started to make me hyper and jittery.

by Anonymousreply 4July 21, 2025 12:27 AM

Get a new hairstyle, OP! It does wonders!

by Anonymousreply 5July 21, 2025 12:28 AM

Sounds like rabies. Or worms. Either way, drink plenty of water-- rabies makes you thirsty and worms get thirsty.

by Anonymousreply 6July 21, 2025 12:28 AM

Depression or you're dying.

Either way, can we have your stuff?

by Anonymousreply 7July 21, 2025 12:45 AM

YES! Not saying this is 100% correct, but I've been hearing those who were infected with COVID in the past five years (me, twice), this is why it's happening (my doctor believes this, too).

by Anonymousreply 8July 21, 2025 1:07 AM

Do you sleep well? Are you eating well and taking proper supplements? I recommend having your doctor take a whole blood test to determine if your are either off on some vitamins or minerals,.

by Anonymousreply 9July 21, 2025 1:21 AM

Stress is going to send us all to an early grave.

by Anonymousreply 10July 21, 2025 1:23 AM

Check your meds (if you take any). It can be a side effect, or you may be taking too much of something.

by Anonymousreply 11July 21, 2025 1:23 AM

Late stage syphilis, I bet.

by Anonymousreply 12July 21, 2025 1:26 AM

Sleep apnea?

by Anonymousreply 13July 21, 2025 1:26 AM

Yes, I am tired all the time and assume I'm depressed....again.

by Anonymousreply 14July 21, 2025 1:29 AM

When I get tired all the time it's usually due to lack of exercise. Once I start my exercise routine again I feel more energized. Humid summer weather can also make one tired.

by Anonymousreply 15July 21, 2025 1:29 AM

When I identified as a cisgender white male I was tired all the time. When I became a Chinese lesbian I found myself a lot mote active and even started playing Mahjong every week.

by Anonymousreply 16July 21, 2025 1:30 AM

Too much ejaculation OP makes you lose zinc. Take some zinc 15mg.

by Anonymousreply 17July 21, 2025 1:34 AM

I've discovered the joy of taking nap in the mid-afternoon. But in terms of being tired all the time, I'm sick and tired of all the nonsense that is occurring because of this racist, sexist, irresponsible imbecile in the White House again. Opposition to him is tiring me out. I'm afraid I'm not doing enough to combat everything he and his ilk are doing to destroy the rule of law. Every day it's another assault on reason and the rule of law. That tires me out.

by Anonymousreply 18July 21, 2025 1:41 AM

Lay off the BOOZE during the week, OP. Don’t binge on the weekend.

by Anonymousreply 19July 21, 2025 1:45 AM

Magnesium, thyroid panel, croutons, suspicious moles, iron if you are a lady, garlic, feng shui, cut back on donuts, read holistic dr crap online, get blackout curtains and lose 10 stone

by Anonymousreply 20July 21, 2025 1:48 AM

Go see your doctor and get labs drawn. Might be a symptom of an underlying issue.

by Anonymousreply 21July 21, 2025 1:48 AM

Yes, I sometimes come through the door and flop face down onto my bed. I had a bad case of Covid and haven’t felt the same since. But I learned from my doctor that I was deficient in vitamin B and D, so I take them, and try to move more (avoid elevators and things like that). I think some fatigue comes from ambient stress and some pressure. I make a lot of hard decisions in my work and I’m responsible for too many people.

by Anonymousreply 22July 21, 2025 1:48 AM

Have you tried volunteering?

by Anonymousreply 23July 21, 2025 1:50 AM

Get your blood checked ans specifically vitamins D and B12.

Some ppl have to take B12 via injection, they cannot absorb it through the gut.

I've been exhausted all the time since I got Covid last August. I lost all my energy and I've never gotten it back. After the election, the only thing that kept me pushing forward was trying to get my residency card for Panama (which I accomplished back in May -- just waiting for my dear old dog to die so I can leave the US), but I no longer have any reason to push myself.

So I'm just killing time, doing only the things I need to do and nothing more.

Many days I barely leave my trailer (it was >90 degrees here most of the day, and has been for awhile), and I rarely see anyone F2F. But I don't feel depressed or lonely or even bored -- just exhausted.

For example, today I got up around 6:30 and let the dog out and fed her. Then I sat in bed reading NYT, WaPo, DL online until I got hungry (about 8am), whereupon I had a bowl of cereal and went back to sleep until 11. Today I made it through the rest of the day without taking a nap (often I don't), and I spoke to my sister and a tree-trimming guy briefly on the phone. I did a load of laundry and hung it out. I've been binge-watching Ally McBeal for a couple of days, which seems much funnier than I remember it being, and I've been reading Trump/political stuff when I'm not otherwise amusing myself, say, playing with my motorcycle chain, which I can't seem to adjust properly to save my life. I hate motorcycles with chains for that very reason.

And that's pretty much it.

I know I'm being a slug and I should get out and at least try to talk to people, but I really don't care enough and don't have the energy. It's just soooo fucking hot outside and I'm soooo damned tired...

I assumed I'd be settled in Panama by now. It's cooler in Las Tablas near the beach in the Arco Seco than it is here in the Ocala National Forest, in spite of it being much closer to the equator.

Oh well -- back to Ally McBeal.

Democracy is under siege by our criminal president and friends. It’s exhausting…

by Anonymousreply 26July 21, 2025 2:11 AM

Yes I am, despite getting enough sleep. It's probably depression and anxiety.

by Anonymousreply 27July 21, 2025 3:53 AM

I’m tired, too.

Can I go on Disability?

by Anonymousreply 28July 21, 2025 6:34 AM

You can in my neighborhood!

When I broke my back, arm, and knee in motorcycle wreck #2, one of my neighbors who's on disability, after seeing me try to walk down the street, asked me why I didn't go on disability.

My reply? "Because I can work!" Which I was. I was reading college applications online from home.

The younger folks around here get on disability and work under the table. Yet they voted for Trump!

by Anonymousreply 29July 21, 2025 11:14 AM

OP you have not told us your age, that has a lot to do with it. If you are 55 or above, needing a nap in the middle of the day is quite normal. If you don't take them you will be tired all day. Older people dont get as much sleep as they need. It's very common to only get about 5 or 6 hours a night. And if you are male, chances are that gets disrupted 3 or 4 times to get up and pee in the middle of the night.

by Anonymousreply 30July 21, 2025 11:36 AM

OP

Do you sleep with anyone? Not trying to be intrusive, but you may have Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS). If so, you never get an undisturbed night of sleep.

Most people don't know they have it until the other person in the bed complains about getting kicked all night.

That or a sleep study will tell you. Unfortunately, there is not much you can do about it. It used to be Klonopin in doses high enough to make you a zombie the next day, they are experimenting with new drugs.

At least you'd know what was causing the tiredness. Small consolation, but...

by Anonymousreply 31July 21, 2025 12:10 PM

Get a blood test. You may be anemic. I was and felt immediately better after infusions and iron pills.

by Anonymousreply 32July 21, 2025 12:15 PM

In a glass, mix some Red Bull and a cup of Espresso. You'll be Riverdancing non-stop for 72 hours!
