Meg Salters shtick is tired and her new show sucks

I’ve liked her social media and her small part on hacks but she’s hitting the press rounds with this carefully crafted high concept comedy persona as if she’s too clever for the fame game and is trolling everyone.

I hate it when entertainers do this - there is no way you maneuver yourself into a starring role on a tv show and appearances on Colbert and the today show unless you are very VERY serious about the game and hungry for the spotlight.

Dont act like you don’t care ma’am.

Then there’s the show. It feels like half the people working on itwere told it was supposed to be like girls and the other half were told it was supposed to be like the unbreakable kimmy Schmidt.

And salter is terrible. She acts like they handed her the script five seconds before cameras were rolling. Liek she doesn’t really understand why her character is doing things and just trying her best to look cheerful. Even Lena Dunham outcasts her. She’s that bad

The character isn’t just unlikable, she’s unrecognizable. There is nothing relatable or even really understandable about her whatsoever

It's not a good show at all. Like every show about life in the UK written by an American, it gets everything wrong. It seemed like an excuse for Dunham to say "look how many of my celebrity friends I can rope into my new series!!!". Embarrassing.

Yeah, I was really disappointed with Too Much. I didn't find the Felix character at all charming and they refused to acknowledge how Jessica actually *was" too much a lot of the time. The ending was also just stupid and actually made me *less* interested in seeing a second season. I laughed at the boyfriend's rant where he accuses Jessica of dressing like a clown to compensate for not being traditionally attractive. Because that's exactly what Lena Dunham does in real life. But this show proved that if Lena dresses normally she actually does not look disgusting.
