Atlantic City, New Jersey
What a shithole and post-apocalyptic landscape. I just took an hour long Google maps tour of the boardwalk and surrounding blocks.
For example, AI told me there is a $100 million INDOOR water park at the old Showboat, and no casino, to attract families, and the cheap rooms are known for filth and bedbugs. It looks dire to me. Why go to an indoor waterpark at an ocean beach?
Why does anyone go there at all? It's horrifying. And Margate down the beach looks spic and span and lovely.

Atlantic City sucks.
One time I was there and my friend, chilling downa shore. and decided to get tattooed at a friend's shop.
The tattoo parlor was in a shitty, or shall I say, "shittier" part of an already shitty town. Two hours I spent waiting in that stupid place, wanting to leave.
It's a playground for the absolute dregs of Philly and NYC to congregate, and well, that's all you need to know.
I'll only swim in the oceans where there are palm trees. I'm a beach snob, but I hate dark water.

I remember I was thinking about visiting there a few years ago and a friend of mine said “why would you want to go there? There’s a Bruce Springsteen song about it”

Every gambling town is completely shitty starting a block away from the glitz

I am a transplant to the Philly area. The first warm spring weekend, I mentioned to a neighbor I wantex to go to AC. He said "why?"

I look at old photos of AC and Coney Island and wish I could spend a Saturday in July there, even for just a few minutes.

Everything Trump touches dies, including Atlantic City.
(Before the 1960s, it was actually a viable and vibrant--if tacky--place).
