When it comes to genetics - what are you happy you did get or upset that you didn't get in comparison to your brother or sister?
Genetics are a toss up when you are combining two people. Sometimes siblings can look like they come from different families. My older brother, by three years, and I are like that. We each resemble something in our parents but we don't really resemble each other. I wish I would have gotten my brother's height and his build thanks to his metabolism. I always remember thinking when am I going to be tall and skinny like him - I never was. I was on diets (self induced) since the age of nine and have not stopped trying to lose weight in all of my 50 years. I am stockier and a bit more muscular but gain weight looking at food. My brother could eat anything and everything and it really didn't start showing up on his body until his forties. Even now he just has to focus on his diet for a couple of weeks and he snaps back into shape.
BUT, on the flip side, as we have gotten older, I still have all of my hair. Even though it's graying at the temples and on the top, his is thinning and he has a bald spot. His body is hairier too with hairy shoulders and back. I never had to wear glasses where his sight has gotten continually worse. I also look 35, no for real, I inherited my parents great skin (in their 70s no wrinkles) and I have looked younger longer than my brother. Plus he's a nerd and I'm cool, ha!
What about you guys?

I'm happy I got good skin, unlike my brother and sister, who both had major acne in their teen years.
I'm not happy I got bad teeth and gums, unlike my brother and sister.

My sisters' blue eyes. My brother's teeth. My other brother's brain.

Other than my vertical deficiency I'm more than happy with what Mother Nature gave me. My father was 6'1", and my brother is 6'2". I'm 5'4". But unlike those two, at 72 I still have my hair (or most of it), and my own teeth (people sill think my teeth are false). And I'm thankful that Mother Nature more than made up for my lack of stature with an over abundance of length and girth, where it counts most.

Mixed bag. I got the most handsome/pretty face and the slimmest tallest body that our parental DNA had on offer - but I went bald very young and have a boatload of allergies. My shorter thicker brother kept most of his hair and doesn't have allergies.

I’m taller than my older brother and he’s pretty fat, but he got a full head of hair. But I make more money.

My father's intelligence and cheekbone; my mother's blue eyes and sense of humor.
The other genetic inheritance: a tendency to addiction.

My brother’s height. He’s 5’11 and I’m just slightly under 5’8. I’m better looking than him at least.

I'm 5'11" and that's good enough. My father was 6'1", my sisters 5'8". Mother was a 5'6" shrimp.

I'm by far the most attractive male in my family. No jealousy here.

R16 You don't know shrimps. My dad was 5'10, my mom was 5'1. I was lucky to make it to 5'9.

Inherited my mother's bad Irish skin, burn, peel, burn, peel. Less pink is the most I can hope for in the summer. Plus acne. Plus alcoholism. Most brothers all taller and more hair, one shorter and bald. I did get the smarts, thank God. Do the best with what you got.

My mom is half-Irish and half Russian/Eastern-European Jewish, and I look much more like her and my grandmother than I do my father's side, which mostly has Swedish and British genetics. Both of my parents are fair-skinned and I naturally have this too. I cannot tan—I only burn. I avoid the sun at all costs. Both my brother and I have dark brown hair and eyes which I am neutral on (my dad has green eyes and was a towhead until his twenties, when his hair turned sandy blond). I am much hairier than my brother, which I actually am thankful for; both my dad and brother are virtually hairless and can't grow beards, whereas it feels like I have a five-o'clock shadow two hours after I've shaved. My mom has thick body hair which she's fought her entire life, but as a man, I prefer having this trait over having little to no body hair.
I'm also glad that I took after my mom's side in height (her mom was very petite, but her dad and brothers were/are over six feet tall, and she was 5'8" in her prime)—I'm 6'2". My dad was an even 6' in his prime, so he's not short either. My brother is about three inches taller than me and has a much bigger build. I was an emotional eater for much of my youth and as a result was overweight as a kid and teenager, but I really thinned out in my twenties. Neither of my parents have ever been fat, so I suppose I can thank them for the eventual thin-out, although I always felt uncomfortable as I was the only person who was overweight in my entire family.

I'm the youngest of three. While at 5' 9.5" I am much shorter than my 6'2" oldest brother, I did luck out being the smartest, and the best looking, and with the best body. So I'm more than okay with being of average height.

I got the height and brains but also the joint pain. Comes with being the tallest person any of you have probably met.
