the applique is not an exact match for the home depot model but It is definitely an industrial applique of resin. The problem isn't that its industrial its that is so fucking artless and random. It's based on no decor model. just smearing gold around. and he has used the same damned couple of models and slather them all over the place. just like his horrible ballroom at Maralargo. Not the original small ballroom that came with the mansion. the giant special events ballroom that is shtty lux hotel rococo.

There is no accounting for Trump's shitty, horrible, declassee taste. Rest assured, Trump cannot alter The White House or the Oval Office. The White House is protected under some preservation historical law.

All that gaudy, tacky, ugly, gold shit that he has plastered all over the place is temporary and can be removed when he leaves. We all wish he never put it up in the first place, but fortunately they are not permanent fixtures and can be removed without defacing the interior of The White House.

In March the fireplace itself the chimney piece had not been gilded. So now he has gilded somethign that has never been gilded. I mean besides gluing on the appliques they have gold leafed the marble or wood.

I am certain he is itching to gild the capitals and bases of the ionic columns of the porticos.

At least the Nazis had a sense of style, unlike this tacky motherfucker.

In decorating, as in governing, he slavishly follows Vlad’s lead.

Full-on vulgarity can sometimes be fun when done with real flair, but Trump of course has no clue - focusing only on gold gold gold as his kitsch look-at-me marker of 'success.' It looks so desperate on those off-white walls, like far too much jewellery on pallid flesh.
