The hype around him felt so manufactured for the entirety of that season. He's WAS surprisingly decent for a nepo baby, but that's about it. And it's not like he had to stretch for that role, there were anecdotes on Reddit from people who used to know him that he was exactly like his character back in college.

Patrick Schwarzenegger does not deserve a nomination. He was okay, but not Emmy-worthy.

With that said, he’s benefited a lot from this show if not the most. He’s been cast in projects and in talks to star in others.

R5 - I feel like whichever actor was fortunate enough to have that "Thailand sex journey" monologue would be winning this! And Rockwell did it beautifully, I hafta admit.

The Emmys need to have a "Best Performance By a Bare Ass" category! He would have won. The ass's performance was starkly naturalistic, controlled and firm, both skillfully taut and relaxed according to the dramatic and comedic situation.

He reminds me of Tom Hank's kid. Only mildly talented, but shoved into the show business eco system like he's a major force, but all his performances are B - at best. Never embarrassing , but never very novel or exciting. (This goes for all the Streep daughters too.). When they posted that video of the "Schwarzenegger" clan learning he got the part, I thought -- they have no idea how tone deaf that is. They acted like everyone would care. We didn't. In subsequent television interviews, Patrick has revealed himself to be wildly uninteresting. Not bright or witty or insightful at all.

He could use a hand to get over this disappointment.
