I thought something similar to myself while I was reading the article. We're not exactly talking about 'Gone With The Wind' level of acting. In the original movie, they actually kept the scene of Jennifer Love Hewitt screaming in the middle of the street like some homeless woman on a meth binge, and the editors thought nothing of it. The Razzies were created for scenes like this.
