Tucker Carlson masterfully preaching leftist ideas to a roaring far right crowd
With a massive white nationalist twist of course.
I predicted this way early during Trump's first term - that Trump was only an appetizer for what was to come, that one day a smarter and more calculating far right grifter would figure out the deadly potent combo of extremely popular policy ideas and white nationalism. Hell Tucker was one of the names I thought were most likely to do it.
The same policy ideas establishment Democrats have fought harder against than fascism and the death of democracy. The same policy ideas "moderate" liberals will argue with a straight face that are too far left even though they're winning over the far right too.

Somebody give me a synopsis, please. I don’t want to listen to him.

He basically complains about the price of housing, the lack of available affordable housing for younger people and the insanity of 30% credit card rates.

Thanks R2. This sort of thing combined with anti semitic tropes and the white nationalist shit makes for a really unpleasant combo that has appeal to a chunk of the population on both the left and right unfortunately. Tucker is as cunning as a shithouse rat and about as charming too

You don't need to be genius to know, or need Tucker Carlson to tell you, that housing costs too much and that credit card interest rates are absurd. Duh.
(On the first of the month I've always paid off my credit card in full. Always without fail. )

He's basically admitting that the Reaganite horseshit he's been selling for decades is actually shit and nonsense. He's admitting that constantly giving more money to rich fuckers is somehow not the complete solution to everything ever. It's a start I guess.

I'm happy for Tucker saying it NOW, but he's got a lotta 'splaining to do for not saying it THEN. He is sitll a shithead for being complicit for so, so, so long.

Who was saying it during the Biden administration? C'mon, they're ALL complicit.

Well - he was promoting these economic policies for decades that got us to this point so...
He's speaking at Turning Point which is aimed at young conservatives.
I think everyone can agree - this is bullshit and we need to change course. We have not just too many billionaires, we have too many centi-millionaires.
And old boomer politicians don't give a fuck about anything except getting re-elected.

Tucker Carlson (born and raised very wealthy in La Jolla) had a nightly show on Fox News for years but couldn't be bothered to say these things then. Steve Bannon has been crying pretend crocodile tears for people on Medicaid lately. No one cares. Their brand is dirt because they're creeps and they have no credibility.

Yeah, but MAGA needs to hear it from a white man born into privilege. It means nothing coming from a minority or woman.
