Did anyone else receive a $1400 check from the United States Treasury?

I just received a check I wasn't expecting from the U.S. Treasury and it feels like a setup. Ha! I was doing research online and they said that people who did not claim the 2021 stimulus might be receiving a check in July. I never claimed it because I didn't think I qualified at the time. There was also some info a new stimulus check for some people in July as well. Has anyone else had a check mailed to them or directly deposited into their account?

Nope. Nothing

by Anonymousreply 1July 13, 2025 6:08 PM

Nope, nothing on my end. But I did receive the stimulus check when it was issued.

No reason to be suspicious, I don't think. Cash it.

It's sitting on my mantle and I haven't deposited it yet. I live abroad and the mail isn't exactly the most reliable here. But here it is, a check from the US with my foreign address crisp as a Lays chip.

I got a rock.

by Anonymousreply 4July 13, 2025 6:12 PM

Apparently, you qualified (maybe they figured that out if you filed tax returns) so it's yours. I wouldn't hold on to it for too long.

Stealth bring back checks thread.

by Anonymousreply 6July 13, 2025 7:01 PM

Are only Repugs getting it?

by Anonymousreply 7July 13, 2025 7:01 PM

R7's attempt to be clever, failed. As a wise ass, shit-stirrer however, she passed with flying colors.

Let me know if you need help spending it.

by Anonymousreply 9July 13, 2025 7:12 PM

Op take your unexpected extra dough and go on a cruise. You deserve it.

by Anonymousreply 10July 13, 2025 7:47 PM

I'd be afraid to spend it for fear the Trump administration would claw it back now.

A Nigerian prince who is lusting after you sent it to you. You need to send him your SSN and your bank account details before you can cash it. Also get a bunch of Crypto from the ATM at your local liquor store and send it to him ASAP.

by Anonymousreply 12July 13, 2025 9:06 PM

Go ahead and cash it and see if it goes through. If it is fake, it will bounce, anyway. So, do it and see if fortune is look kind at you! I would... why not?

by Anonymousreply 13July 13, 2025 9:10 PM

R12 Haha, what’s funny is that the country actually elected a Nigerian prince scammer in the form of a rich white bitch from Queens.

by Anonymousreply 14July 13, 2025 9:10 PM

Log into your IRS account. If the check is legitimate, it will list it as having been issued.

by Anonymousreply 15July 13, 2025 9:13 PM

OP if you are somewhat green to technology and new internet interfaces, I can gladly assist. Just send me your login information as well as some bio info in case a security alert question generates.

by Anonymousreply 16July 13, 2025 9:20 PM

How do I receive check?

by Anonymousreply 17July 13, 2025 9:38 PM

R17 I’ve finally worked up the nerve to tell you: You’re a whore darlin.

by Anonymousreply 18July 13, 2025 9:41 PM

I look on dresser. No check.

by Anonymousreply 19July 13, 2025 9:45 PM

Spend it on hookers and cocaine. You deserve it, OP.

by Anonymousreply 20July 13, 2025 10:37 PM

I never got my $1400 stimmy check but I did have 1/3 of my net worth stolen through inflation so that other motherfuckers could get theirs.

by Anonymousreply 21July 13, 2025 10:46 PM

If none else got one, I am especially weary now. I owe taxes that I haven’t paid. Not a lot. But I was unemployed most of one year so didn’t claim everything. Anyway why would they send me money if I owe. That’s what feels like a trap.

by Anonymousreply 22July 14, 2025 6:05 AM

Op & R22, call the IRS and ask if the check is legitimate.

by Anonymousreply 23July 14, 2025 6:22 AM

R23, I know the check is legitimately from the US government. That isn’t the question. It just feels like when they round up people with open warrants by telling them they’ve won tickets to the Super Bowl and they just need to come down and claim the tickets.

by Anonymousreply 24July 14, 2025 6:37 AM

You’re WARY, not WEARY, OP.

by Anonymousreply 25July 14, 2025 7:13 AM

R24, if you are in a foreign country they can’t just show up and arrest you. And if you owe taxes, you’ll get around to it eventually. Would a rich person in your position hesitate before taking the money? No, he would not.

by Anonymousreply 26July 15, 2025 3:18 AM

R25 or maybe he's leery
