Tomorrow Never Dies (1997)
Let's discuss the James Bond action film Tomorrow Never Dies.
In this adventure, James Bond woks to prevent an evil media mogul from engineering world events to start World War III.
Pierce Brosnan (in his second Bond film) leads a truly great cast; Jonathan Pryce, Michelle Yeoh, Teri Hatcher, Joe Don Baker, Gotz Otto, Ricky Jay, Geoffrey Palmer, Vincent Schiavelli, Desmond Llewelyn, Samantha Bond, Julian Fellows, and JUDI DENCH as M.

Colossal letdown after the perfect GoldenEye. I like the idea of a Hearst/Murdoch style villain but engineering a war between the UK and China is such a stupid idea for an evil plot. The finale with the stealth ship is boring. It's easily my least favorite of the Brosnan movies.
The only scene like is the parking garage fight with the beautiful 1997 7 series.

Notable for the unused (but incredibly superior) KD Lang credit song. So good! So classic! I’ll never understand why they didn’t use it.

Roger Moore was way too fey for the role.

The parking garage scene was one big BMW ad.

I like this movie, it is fun and even a little camp.
You can tell Jonathan Pryce is having a blast!

I think the product placement in the Daniel Craig movies was more obnoxious and less fun, r9. The BMW looked good but it's not like every single character drove a BMW, they didn't go out of their way to show bond drinking Smirnoff or using a Sony Ericsson.

It's the darkest, as in low lighting, of all the Bond movies. Directed by cross dresser Miss Lee Tamahori.

Teri Hatcher was pregnant while filming

Teri was despised by the entire Bond machine, including Brosnan.

It was my first James Bond film, so I will always hold it in high regard, even though I'm aware of its flaws. The BMW parking garage chase scene is still incredible and the highlight of the film; everything after that sequence is kind of dull. Michelle Yeoh is given some really awful dialog. Jonathan Pryce plays a good villain, even if the role itself is a little thin.

I saw this in a mall multiplex during the huge eastern Canada ice storm of January 1998. I had no power, my mother had no power, but the mall did so we went to see it together.

It is simply a fun Bond film. I lied it because it was not goofy like the Roger Moore films or dark like Timothy Dalton.
