What happens if you use it to buy something that is not health or medical related? Is there any penalty to that?

1. It's a DEBIT card, not a credit card.
2. Most of the time it will be rejected if you try to pay for something that's not eligible.
3. If you DO use if for an ineligible purpose, you'll have trouble at tax time.

Amazon indicates if an item is FSA/HSA eligible. Enter your debit card number as a payment method. When you check-out your cart, select FSA/HSA payment, and you’re done.
