Let’s complain about air travel in 2025
My new gripe: I checked in online, so I could avoid the desk agents. I get to the front of the line where they check ID and tickets and was told I need to “refresh” my electronic boarding pass at the airline’s check in desk.
That’s a new one to me: I’ve never had a “stale” electronic boarding pass before.

I've had no problems this year at all, luckily. I see those crazy videos of various airport meltdowns, but I've never seen that. I just checked in for my flight to Chicago, and the app even seems better.
I hope you're able to recover.

Maybe it was gate change.

SAS issued me a digital boarding pass. When I got to the gate in Copenhagen I was told they don't accept them. The woman very nicely printed one but I was embarrassed for holding up the line.
When I got an online survey from them, I mentioned what happened. I don't do surveys anymore. They're useless.

I was able to get my pass but when I got to the TSA line, it had quadrupled in size. They pulled an agent off after I left to get my “refreshed” boarding pass.
Lesson learned; always get a paper pass and an electronic pass if possible.
It was annoying more than anything, finding out that electronic passes go bad, like milk.

I always print out a paper pass as a backup, just in case.
