Triple-folding smartphones are coming

Being able to have DL, Reddit, and Chaturbate all open at the same time while on the toilet? Sounds like heaven!

[quote]The confirmation comes as Samsung faces mounting pressure from Chinese competitors in the foldable market and seeks to reclaim innovation leadership after Huawei beat it to market with the world's first commercial tri-fold device last year. The device is expected to feature a 10-inch display when fully unfolded and cost roughly $3,000.

Stop inventing things!

It actually sounds great. I almost chose the folding phone but didn't think it would last and those were $2k.

These things are the modern equivalent of laser discs.

What's next, phones folding like a road map? Full circle.

My partner would love one. He can never have a mobile big enough because he has to enlarge everything to absurd everything to see it clearly. The trouble of unfolding and folding would be a nuisance for him, however. His habit of losing or breaking two or three phones a year makes a bi-fold or tri-fold a distant possibility.

I like small mobiles and otherwise have two compact, thin profile laptops (different parts of the house) that I love. The Google Pixel 10 release is supposed to include a folding phone in which the problem of the central crease has been very significantly corrected, but still, it's not for me.

It will probably cost $3,000 or more and be incredibly fragile.

No thanks.

I'd like a mobius strip phone.
