For the A.I. experts

Can you tell me which A.I. generator was used to make these stunning videos?

I too want to become a Youtube billionaire.

Dollface thread.

R1 What does Dollface thread mean?

by Anonymousreply 2July 9, 2025 12:02 AM

Enough of this AI crap.

This isn't AI. I read it's a real cat named Midge and her own kitten, Cashew. That's why they interact so naturally.

by Anonymousreply 5July 9, 2025 3:53 AM

The fact that every segment cuts out after 8 seconds tells me it's probably Gemini's new Veo 3 video tool, which rolled out to users in over 159 countries last week.

[quote]Veo 3's current 8-second video length limitation is a consistent constraint across all subscription tiers, including the premium Google AI Ultra plan. While this duration might seem restrictive, it's optimized for cinematic storytelling, trailers, and social media content. The model outputs videos at 720p resolution with 24 frames per second, providing standard cinematic quality suitable for most digital platforms.

You're limited to three video generations per day, but I expect this to change in the future. So expect a lot more of this AI slop coming our way.

Fun fact: AI can write blind items.

Blind Item:

This legendary chanteuse, known for her powerhouse vocals and decade-spanning career, has quietly packed her bags and bid adieu to the U.S. After years of calling America her second home, the health struggles that kept her out of the spotlight may have also convinced her that it’s time to return to her roots—or at least to a place where the paparazzi aren’t as relentless and the pace is gentler. While she once dominated Las Vegas, insiders say she’s opted for European calm or perhaps a certain French-speaking province, away from the glitz and grind. No word yet on whether she plans a comeback tour… but don’t count her out. Her heart will go on.

We've known AI does blinds for more than a year now, it's why you hardly see any Enty threads on DL anymore, it's because he got busted using it. He couldn't even be bothered to make up a short paragraph per day for the one fucking thing he's known for, *that's* how lazy AI is making people.

by Anonymousreply 8July 9, 2025 5:11 AM

Another AI says it's Celine Dion

by Anonymousreply 9July 9, 2025 5:11 AM

Only in New York, kids!

Thanks R6!

R2 is OP revealing that this is their first post on DL.

Make of that what you will, but the constant online push to make everything about AI suddenly everywhere is very sus.

by Anonymousreply 12July 9, 2025 12:55 PM

R12 No, I've been posting for a long time. I just never understood what Dollface thread meant.

I agree about AI when used to create images and videos that mimic reality. That's very dangerous.

I want to use AI to make Disney/Pixar type cartoon videos and not Tom Cruise deepfakes.

Worst possible timing, OP – Google is cracking down on monetisation of AI slop starting July15th.

[quote]Under the new policy, YouTube will specifically target content that lacks originality and authentic value. Channels primarily posting AI-generated videos with minimal human input, reaction videos without substantial commentary, or compilations with little editing risk complete demonetization rather than just video-specific penalties. The platform has emphasized that they're not banning all AI content outright, but rather focusing on "low-effort content" that fails to meet their "original and authentic" criteria.

[quote]YouTube's enforcement strategy includes both reactive and proactive measures. Creators must now use the "altered content" setting in YouTube Studio to disclose AI-generated elements that appear realistic. Those who consistently avoid proper disclosure may face severe consequences, including content removal or suspension from the YouTube Partner Program entirely.

Glad YouTube's finally cracking down on all that AI-generated garbage.

Now if they could just do something about those bottom-feeder ads. Every one starts with, "The [whatever] industry doesn’t want you to see this..." and then it’s some gadget, like a flashlight shaped like a troll doll or a tactical pen that looks like a weaponized suppository. I fucking hate those ads.
