We’re running out of room.
Philly Whore, where are you currently dumping your trash?

There are gigantic rats running around the homeless now.

I had mine picked up the day before the strike. but that means tonight I should think of somewhere to place it. I'm friends with an owner of the tavern group and they have commercial removal, but anticipate locals throwing their trash in their bin though it is not allowed.

I've been away for a couple of weeks and really don't feel like come back. The city smells in July at the best of times.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | July 6, 2025 8:42 PM |
I think there’s going to be a new plague soon. This cannot be healthy.

Here she is yelling like a lunatic. She made trash pickup 2x a week and gave them no raise. She made up a bunch of fake positions in her administration to pay her family.

Probably in La Jolla, where Philly Whore lives.

'Merika!

Give the workers what they want. I’m pretty sure those in charge are living with exactly what they want. And comfortably.

When Parker took office, the sale of Escalades and Navigators tripled.

Before becoming mayor, she was responsible for Kensington, the section of Philly that has all the walking dead zombie drug addicts.

As a white guy living in Philadelphia....this hasn't affected me yet
by Anonymous | reply 17 | July 6, 2025 9:58 PM |
R17, where do you live? We’ll wait.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | July 6, 2025 10:16 PM |
In La Jolla
by Anonymous | reply 19 | July 6, 2025 10:19 PM |
Probably r17 lives in a condo / apt building with private garbage service
by Anonymous | reply 20 | July 6, 2025 10:20 PM |
Probably just made up some shit & posted it.

For most of the city there's little impact so far. I remember the last (1986) strike, which lasted 20 days. Trash stacked in parking lots, etc., in August. It was pretty nasty, butonly very locally so.
Cheryll is bombastic; the union leader is trying to prove himself after a contested and divided union election not long ago. Whether DC33 thinks it will get additional leverage when DC 47 (the white collar union) has its strike authorization vote is unclear. The two unions haven't historically had a good relationship.
Dem party leader Bob Brady has offered to help -- the mayor doesn't seem interested. The union is at 5% a year increase, the mayor at a little less than 3%. Clearly the deal will be about 4%, perhaps with a $1000 or something signing bonus that doesn't go in the base pay. Get on with it!
Yep, I'm a Philly resident. For us, we have garbage cans and recycling bins only about half full at the moment.

Phillywhore? Who would boast about being from Philly? I would be ashamed. What a shithole.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | July 6, 2025 10:45 PM |
Moved to Bucks County last year, and boy, I’m glad I did.

Where's DL Fave Josh Shapiro? Shouldn't he be activating the National Guard to deal with the emergency, or something?
by Anonymous | reply 25 | July 6, 2025 11:09 PM |
Eh -- you should all live in PA Dutch Country.
Beautiful scenery, great food.

R17 is a Republican
by Anonymous | reply 27 | July 6, 2025 11:27 PM |
Most of the people on this thread are Republicans waging thinly veiled racist attacks against Mayor Parker
by Anonymous | reply 28 | July 7, 2025 1:04 AM |
I'm not, R28. I've been saying Philly is a hole for at least 40 years.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | July 7, 2025 2:24 AM |
R29. Actually, Philadelphia is a pretty wonderful place to live. Relatively affordable housing, great cultural events and organizations, great restaurant scene. Many different kinds of neighborhoods. Absolutely first rate medical centers. Slower pace than New York City, though that's only a little over an hour a way on the train. Of course there are challenges.

I live here, r30, and couldn't agree more

She’s union busting, shit-for-brains. Republicans love her.
