Which TV series cancellation perturbed you most?
The Serpent Queen was cancelled abruptly by Starz after Season 2 ended last year, despite overwhelmingly good reviews from the critics and a loyal fan base, which was apparently not large enough for Starz to continue the series. Ironically, in recent advertisements by Starz on FB, the show is featured to promote signing up for their streaming service, which is why this is fresh on my mind.
Samantha Morton's Catherine de Medici was captivating. I had already bought a shelf full of books on Catherine and French history to read while waiting for Season 3, before the show was cancelled.
The one consolation is that Starz signed up Minnie Driver to reprise her unusual take on Elizabeth I in TSQ, in a spin-off series tentatively titled The Virgin Queen.

Isn't it a strange coincidence that the the only other TV series' cancellation that really bothered me was The Riches, which starred Eddie Izzard and *Minnie Driver*? It was also cancelled abruptly after its second season.

Devious Maids.
I started watching it a few years after it was cancelled, not knowing it was cancelled unexpectedly after a season that ended on a cliffhanger.

The Serpent Queen and Becoming Elizabeth. Both on Starz. And, it looks like Marie Antoinette will not be getting a third season. Shame since season three would have covered all of the really exciting shit.

R7 I've read so many comments over the years by fans of Firefly who loved the show and mourn its cancellation. I keep meaning to watch it just because of that.

Rome - Season 3 abruptly canceled.
Babylon Berlin - cancelled by Netflix after Season 3, even though a Season 4 was filmed, and their last season, 5, is in production.
1899 - Netflix only shows Season 1. Season 2 exists, but not on Netflix.

I really liked Magic City on Starz! Was so mad when it was cancelled after two seasons.
Magic City was set in early 1960s Miami at a hotel meant to resemble the Fontainebleau. So, it was like Mad Men set in the hotel business.

Public Morals about ten years ago, it was one of those Ed Burns series. Set in NYC during the late 60s, I didn't love the show per se but the time period and some of the actors caught my attention. They never aired the last episode. They were developing a gay story line and then it died

GLOW, The Santa Clarita Diet, Don't Trust the B in Apt 23. Last Man on Earth. All deserved and needed more episodes

R15. I was going to post the same thing. Magic City was great. I was anticipating the 3rd season to reveal that Meg Bannock, the aunt/sister-in-law played by Kelly Lynch, was a ruthless, scorned bitch out for revenge against Ike. Alas, we'll never know.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan was much better in Magic City than the hammy Negan in Walking Dead.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan was still very handsome in Magic City . I still cant believe he's 6 years younger than me ! Boy he aged hard . Danny Huston had a LOT to do with that show being as good as it was . He was brilliant in Magic City . Im so glad some of you mentioned Good Christian Bitches ! It really was hilarious with lots of eye candy to boot !

A show I really liked was the comedy Jake in Progress starring John Stamos as an NYC publicist who still had some growing up to do, even though he was in his 40s. Show has some clever insights about life
It aired 13 episodes in its first season in 2005. In second season, it was paired with the new Emily's Reason's Why Not starring Heather Graham. The first episode of Emily tanked in the ratings. The second season premier of Jake coming immediately after Emily also had a bad showing in the ratings. ABC immediately pulled both shows, ultimately cancelling them without airing them ever again. .

I loved, loved, loved It's Like You Know. II aired in 1999-2000. It was sort of like Seinfeld set in LA, thanks in no small part to having several writers on staff from the just ended Seinfeld series. Multi-layered plots with some devilish insights on Los Angeles. Even had Dirty Dancing's Jennifer Grey playing a version of herself.
First season aired to decent, but not stellar ratings. Second season began with decent ratings, but then ABC abruptly cancelled it so to air episodes of the hit new game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire three times a week.

Swingtown.
I was not surprised by the cancellation, but it was a great attempt to do a layered, HBO-style family/cultural drama on a broadcast network.

Yet another vote for Pushing Daisies. Am currently watching Blurays of it. Started off well enough in the ratings. Unfortunately a writers' strike began after iits debut. There were no new scripts, therefore no new episodes and it started to sink in the ratings. Technicolor fans might enjoy it vibrant colors.

I was upset when the BBC cancelled its new drama "Cuffs" (2015). It was pulling in decent numbers for a freshman serial drama, but it got cut when the BBC was told to slash their budget.
I really like the gay couple, Jake, the rookie cop (who was also the son of the chief superintendent of police force), and Simon, who was a defense lawyer and the duty solicitor. Of course, their jobs would intersect, and they might be on the opposite side of a case.
But I really enjoyed the entire ensemble cast and was looking forward to seeing everyone's story play out.

Mine have been mention:
Becoming Elizabeth - the only Elizabethan drama I have been interested in, ever.
Carnivale
The Exorcist - the Fox series is the very best thing sequel since the original movie
GCB - Good Christian Bitches
Hannibal - can you believe the final two were Mads Mikkelsen and David Tennant? Man, they dodged a bullet. Imagine the gurning 😬

I think Hannibal was able to squeeze a good amount of content out of the "lecterverse" and the Hannibal/Will relationship. I was fine with only getting three seasons. What really annoyed me was how the third season closely followed the plot of the Red Dragon. I think between Manhunter and Red Dragon, the story of Francis Dolarhyde had been adequately covered and we didn't need a whole season devoted to it in Hannibal. I liked how the show was set within the universe of the Harris books without being a carbon copy of the stories told in the books. I didn't like how when they did lift a story from the book series, they chose the most well-covered story. I think they should have gone out with a bang and done something with Clarice, Buffalo Bill. Maybe the last scene is fugitive Hannibal calling Will from a payphone at a tropical location.

Another vote for Raised by Wolves.
This is one of the new network HBO Max’s flagship show. It was what incentivized many people (including me) to even get Max in thr first place.
A completely batshit insane show — science fiction at its best.
The fact that they walked away from the fanbase that helped build their network by abandoning the new networks flagship show — at a cliffhanger no less — infuriates me to this day.

Dead Boy Detectives, supposedly only killed by a flukey application of the Netflix algorithm. The Gaiman connection might have done for it later anyway, I suppose, though it was pretty remote from his original creation.

I have to agree with r63 about The Great. I love Elle and Nic, but it was too much quirk and wink-wink, and the same old shit ep after ep.
And it bore no resemblance to the actual reign of CTG at all. At least Serpent Queen gave a nod to the history more or less.
