This is the kind of ridiculous platform my mother’s ridiculous MAGA husband would have invested in.
I recall him telling me once, that he didn’t need trading advice from me, because his financial ‘people’ were good Christians, who invested his money in good, Christian funds.
I didn’t respond, however, rolled my eyes internally, because there are no such funds that are Christians.
I’m not pleased that country bumpkin MAGA are losing their shirts with all of these horrible scams they’re pummeled with on a daily basis as soon as they open up their emails. I understand we have some here who think these folks deserve what’s coming to them, however, I disagree.
These are either dumb, average, or intelligent, unsophisticated people, & they don’t deserve to be preyed upon, just because they’re not sharp enough to steer clear of shiny new things. Yes, MANY of them are fundamentally unkind & selfish, however, I currently work with a woman who behaves and claims to be a hardcore democrat, but she’s frankly one of the most manipulative, & nastiest women I’ve EVER had the displeasure of having to interact with. She’s 100% a Klan Granny, is emotionally unwell, & has issues that should have been resolved when she was 15, but weren’t, because she chose to dig her heels into separatism, rather than genuinely trying to see other side of people’s story.
Today, I learned a LOT from her, & I feel so bad for her insecurity and childlike confusion, while still understanding she hasn’t the ability to be honest, and has zero self awareness.
I asked myself today, if I share qualities that are similar to hers, and horribly, the answer is, YES.
Here’s what I’m trying to say:
We criticize these MAGA folks all day long, & they ABSOLUTELY deserve it, but in some ways, are we like them, too?
We must ask ourselves this in order to overcome this cult. We have to get honest, & ask ourselves if we too, behave just like them, but just on the other side of the coin.
I don’t want to behave like a selfish, manipulative cunt, regardless of who I vote for or why. Look, we don’t have to be perfect, nor should we strive to be, but what I’m attempting to communicate here is that if we want to win this, we need to recognize that we’re like these assholes too, except we present it differently.
Yeah, I know that we have to do this in order to win elections, but when are we going to ever have a political party and system that is TRULY for the people, who aren’t ran by total sociopaths, attracting more wannabe sociopaths or real sociopaths, who aren’t on the take?
Why must we constantly agree and concede to politicians & politics being dirty? Why can we no longer want or even expect something and/or something different than what we have on offer now???
Is your heart truly in the right place?
Mine might be, but I’m still attempting to overcome lots of trauma, & I don’t believe I have the ability to be a leader, at this time.
That stated, you don’t have to be exposed to all of the the fucked up shit in this world to be a LEADER!
If you’re righteous & inherently GOOD? If you’re bedazzled with mistakes yet inherently GOOD, and have the energy and support to go and shake things the fuck up, GO FUCKING FORTH, AND DO SO!!!
My self esteem isn’t at a place where I can do this at this time, but for SURE, there are MANY of you who do not face my challenges.
