I don't know what it is about her - but despite so much plastic surgery (and having so many complications), her work never looks as refined and finished as other people. Look at Kris Jenner (who I loathe) - she's 69 and got a facelift and looks like THIS.

Yeah, I think that might be a glued-on wig and a strong gust of wig caught her off guard. Really unfortunate, she looks like a completely different person without those much-needed bangs the wig provides.

She said she had a new facelift about a month ago.

R10 - so the question is whether she purposefully shaves that front so wigs can stick better? Do women do this?

I just looked it up - apparently a lot of women who regularly wear wigs DO shave their heads, it makes it a lot easier and it stays better. But it's personal choice.

Bad facelifts can fuck up your hairline. I once saw Bess Myerson on the street and the wind kicked up - holy Moses her hairline was a mess.

It wouldn't surprise me if she did this intentionally. I love her but ever since the Trump thing and the victim mindset that befell her after that (understandable as it was a nightmare) she has a need for never-ending attention. And if it gets her press--and this did--she won't avoid it.

Her weekly podcasts always have one of her wigs plainly in view behind her, and neither that one nor the one she wears looks anything like the one in the pic in the OP's post.

I wonder when it was taken and why she thought it was OK to go out in public looking like that.

R18 facelifts have nothing to do with the hairline; the cut and pull is done in front of the ears. Thats how you can always tell a man has had one because it makes the sideburns look weird.

You may be thinking of old coronal school brow lifts, where they cut behind the hairline from ear to ear to pull up the saggiing brow/forehead. These have largely been replaced by endoscopic brow lifts, which only reposition the underlying muscle, not the skin/hairline.

Facelifts have advanced so much since I had one at age 36, 20 years ago. They are so much natural looking without the horrible scars (there's still scars but they are almost imperceptible.

I call this the Sophia Loren hairline: after so many facelifts all that those women have left is a Mohawk strip of hair at the back of their head and you have to tousle the Mohawk from within one inch of your life: you cannot have enough lacquer, mousse, and bouffant hair around such a situation.

I once saw a picture of Madonna (2008-ish) going to the Kabbalah in L.A. with her hair up in a ponytail and boy! was that hairline messed up as well: it looked like Sophia's hairline below. But I think she's had hair transplants since then because this is no longer apparent even when she has her hair up in a bun. Of course the incriminating photo was scrubbed from the internet many many moons ago.

She only ever came across to me as wanting to be rich and famous - which she achieved. She could be fairly funny during a portion of her career. She never struck me as someone who contemplated any sort of deep or next-level happiness.

She needs to put on weight so her face has a bit of fat. She must suffer from body dysmorphia.

If I saw that in broad daylight I'd scream. Even her skin tone is scary.

R49 I think she is now cancer free, after having half of her left lung* removed in 2021 and getting follow-up treatment, which resulted in the paralysis of her left vocal chord. She has surgery to treat the chord problem every 6 months.

I like Kathy. Yeah she’s a bit messy but I’m on board with almost everything she says politically. So she likes attention. Welcome to showbiz.

She should have consulted with the cosmetic surgery guru mentioned in the video below, who started out plain and then had five old-fashioned facelifts and became fabulous. She had a mini hair transplant around the ears and said it was one of the small things in her transformation that made a dramatic difference.

Her early comedy specials on Bravo were classics. She was the only female comic that made me roar with laughter. She was brilliant back then. It makes me sad how it all fell apart for her.

Same, I recall counting down the days until a new episode of "My Life on the D-List" dropped. But, she started climbing the celeb ladder and for a while no longer qualified as a D-lister. So her comedy started suffering because she was moving up in the world long before the Trump head thing happened. She didn't know how to adapt her comedy to either of those two factors.

On the other hand, I can't fault her for it. So many of these comics are of their time and achieve success because they manage to ride a very specific cultural moment. Only few can sustain that through the decades, many go into TV writing and continue their success there in a more collaborative way.
