Oh the pussy that man must have pulled in his heyday.

I used to see him all the time at WeHo Bistro for lunch with his “assistant” who was a handsome male sexworker. Good for Neil. Still living with his wife and having a hot young guy drive him around and going out to lunch. I’m glad he’s still kicking and doing things that make him happy.

I recall a documentary about him a few decades back. He had a LOT of male assistants and collaborators who made Liberace look butch.

The ego of the man to include "Sedaka is back" in the chorus of his co-written Love Will Keep Us Together.

by Anonymousreply 5July 1, 2025 6:30 PM

Did he write that or did Toni ad lib, R5? I always assumed the latter.

by Anonymousreply 6July 1, 2025 6:39 PM

Sedaka is Back is the name of the album Sedaka released in '74, before the Captain & Tennille's cover song in '75. I don't know if Sedaka had any role in the cover arrangement. Maybe he didn't, & it was purely meant as a tribute.

Ooh, I hear laughter in the rain walking hand in hand with the one I love

I heard him tell Beverly Sills on her short short-lived talk show that he thought he might be the reincarnation of George Gershwin.

R2- Actually Richard Simmons was much more of a PUSSYHOUND than Neil Sedaka.

by Anonymousreply 10July 1, 2025 7:24 PM

R5, Toni Tennille said she ad-libbed “Sedaka’s back” at the end of the song.

Did Sedaka and Elton John have a falling out? Sedaka's follow ups on Eltons label didn't sell, right?

by Anonymousreply 12July 1, 2025 7:38 PM

I think he’s settled a lot of sex harassment lawsuits. Sean Stewart was in rehab with him and he said Neil grabbed his crotch in a hot tub

I was excited for the first three words of the headline. Then I lost interest.

Call me crazy, but recording love songs with your daughter seems… unnecessary [bold]: (

Wow R15. What a throwback. I was immediately reminiscent of being at the orthodontist having my braces tightened.

50th anniversary of the Neil Sedaka / Richard Carpenter Vegas smackdown!
