Natalie Portman's son Aleph is hilarious: "Want to meet my mom?"

In a video shared to his Instagram page, YouTuber Marlon LuGa was live-streaming a day of soccer for fans on Sunday when he was approached by Portman's son, Aleph, while getting ready on the field.

The 13-year-old introduced himself by referencing his famous mom, asking LuGa if he knew Portman. When the streamer said he didn't recognize the name, Aleph referred to Portman's beloved role as Luke Skywalker's mother.

"You know Star Wars? Padmé Amidala?" he asked, before delivering the surprising line, "Well, that's my mom. Can you give a shoutout to my mom?" LuGa was understandably shocked, even as Alpeh showed the streamer family pics on his phone to verify the family connection "That's your mom?!"

Wasting no time, LuGa jumped on the unique opportunity, agreeing to a FaceTime call. When Portman appeared on the screen, Aleph introduced the streamer, asking her, "Do you want to say hi to Marlon?" he asked.

LuGa quickly acknowledged the Hollywood star, apologizing for the impromptu call. "Hi, I'm sorry for disturbing you, I just want to say hi real quick," he told a laughing Portman. "I'm here with your son. We're about to play a little football."

But Portman was clearly amused by the situation as she graciously wished LuGa well before ending the call. "Nice to meet you. I hope you're having a great day. Have a good one," she told the streamer, before the call concluded.

LuGa was visibly overwhelmed by the moment — candidly revealing that Portman's Padmé was his "biggest crush" when he was younger — and fans were equally surprised by the brief peek into Portman's otherwise private family life.

"Very beautiful woman, very good son," LuGa told his livestream viewers. "I just want to respectfully say that. That's insane."

"He looks just like her too! Imagine saying 'Padme Amidala is my mom,'" one user commented, while another wrote, "That's my mom 🩷🌷 biggest flex, he's so proud."

Aleph is the son of Portman and her ex-husband, Benjamin Millepied.

Awww, that's really cool - and she seems very sweet.

Her son has a weird haircut and he's wearing a pink shirt with flowers? A budding fairy?

At least he's in Paris and not in the shithole that is the US right now.

Aleph is a smart kid.

If one of your parents is famous, it's a great way to get to meet other celebs.

I would love to meet Marlon LuGa. He's hot!

They're ALL nobodies!

Son is the spitting image of Natalie, doesn't have an ounce of that ballerino in his face.

Natalie behaved as if her son routinely offers total strangers the opportunity to interrupt her day.

That's what I found so hilarious about this story.

Her son is such a little brat! Using her fame to advance his own interests.

I'm surprised he's not charging people to meet his mom on FaceTime.

He's an awkward kid at an awkward age, not surprised he's using his proximity to power to advance his social standing. I would as well in his position. I'm sure his mom is aware and helps in any way she can, especially post-divorce when he needs even more emotional support.

He has great taste in men and the ultimate pick-up line -- "I'd love to take you home to meet mother!"

What’s a ballerino face?

by Anonymousreply 13July 1, 2025 2:35 PM

His father r13. His father is a ballet dancer. He has none of his father in his face. Which is a shame, because he was beautiful too.
