On LBC Radio The Mooch said that if Mamdani wins that Trump will benefit. The midterms will be a whole new ballgame and both houses could see gains. What an idiot. This is as stupid as what he said on LBC a few weeks ago about the Biden revelations in Jake Tapper’s book would end up being “bigger than Watergate.”
Scaramucci just said on UK radio that if Mamdani wins…

Don’t listen to him.

But what if he's right? I don't know if he, but we categorically dismiss this view at our possible peril.

He was a Trumper until Trump shitcanned his ass.

He's right.

His run in NYC will pit Dem vs Dem.
Of course his run and more so his win would greatly help Trump . Now if he wins nyc then with the squad and Bernie and AOC and the massive democratic left makes a winning run at the WH and wins Congress —-that would actually hurt Trump and the GOP
Where do you think the smart money should be?
11% of US adults are progressives.

Uh-huh. Abuelas falling over themselves on their way to the polls to elect someone who reminds them of what they fled from back in Venezuela and Cuba. True lefties are DOA on the national level in this overheated atmosphere. Not gonna happen.

The trans should be happy with Mamdani s win. They will no longer be #1 on the hit list.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | June 30, 2025 4:33 PM |
He’s not 100% wrong. either Mandami brings in new voters or he’s a disaster for Dems. I can see a Repub as Governor of both NJ and NY next election.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | June 30, 2025 4:37 PM |
I wasn't wearing my glasses and misread that as "if MADONNA wins…",
by Anonymous | reply 10 | June 30, 2025 4:38 PM |
Mamdani’s win is a reaction to the economic rape of billionaires, which Trump, the GOP, and the new tax bill represent.

Mamdani did bring in many new voters.
It’ll be tough for the GOP to take the governorships because Trump will still represent the GOP—and he is detested in those states.

If Repubs run a race only on state issues they could win. But no Trump endorsement or ads etc.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | June 30, 2025 4:46 PM |
Trump did a lot better in NYS & NJ than he did previously … or any Republican since Reagan.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | June 30, 2025 4:49 PM |
Mikie Sherrill and Abigail Spanberger are formidable centrists, and both are likely to win on the same day as Mamdani.
Mayor Pete had it right:
[quote] It's time to stop worrying about what the Republicans will say. It's true that if we embrace a far left agenda, they're going to say we're a bunch of crazy socialists. If we embrace a conservative agenda, you know what they're going to do? They're going to say we're a bunch of crazy socialist. Let's stand up for the right policy, go up there and defend it..
And Mamdani won over a lot of Trump voters.

Harris was brave to call for the tax payers to support trans care for federal prisoners. But I never saw where she claimed how much the tax payers would be spending on prisoners trans care.
Mamdani puts it right up front—-$65 million to support trans adults and underage for trans care in NYC. Not sure if that includes prisoners or not but I assume so. Assuming they still have prisoners in NYC if he wins.
Happy days are here again

Keep in mind that people voted for Trump and AOC. Because they liked that both were active on social media.
Face it-many people aren't voting on policy. America is a very shallow country.

[Quote] Trump did a lot better in NYS & NJ than he did previously … or any Republican since Reagan.
He did it with a progressive message—lower grocery prices, lower child care costs, better healthcare.
All a lie of course but still a progressive message
by Anonymous | reply 18 | June 30, 2025 4:56 PM |
He’s shilling for the corrupt democratic establishment in nyc. Simple as that.

Actually Harris never said that. She just continued a program that started under Trump.
How much do tax payers pay for heart attack care. How is this different?

OP, you might be the idiot in this instance for not realizing just what a hard map Dems are facing next year. The hope was that they would have made gains last year, but then Kamala happened.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | June 30, 2025 4:59 PM |
After Trump 1.0, R18, I seriously doubt any true progressive, in NY, in New Jersey, or anywhere, voted for Trump in 2024.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | June 30, 2025 5:02 PM |
R20 she sure as shit did say that during her presidential run in 2019. Federal prisoners deserve tax payer paid for trans care .
I m surprised you did not realize that or assumed the GOP was lying.. When Fox asked her during this latest run for potus she then said—-I’d follow the law.
Did not refute just kind of punked out in the answer,

He is 100% accurate and it will be the end of the Dems. Sad to see it happening.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | June 30, 2025 5:07 PM |
Stripping Medicaid and stealing from poor for billionaires is such a lovely thing to back and throw on your resume but it will be the end of the Dems because of the election of one mayor in a country of 50 states and endless cities. I love the new trolls that hang around just to say these things on any political thread. What are you doing on a gay site? Be gone.

I agree with OP. But this illustrates the complete willful myopia of the conventional political wisdom, both of the old guard Democrat establishment as well as the newer, stupider, trashier MAGA establishment.
It’s amazing to me that Trump continues to get the support from Republican politicians he gets when every poll shows how unpopular their programs are. They’re lemmings running for the cliff edge.

Really?!? As Murkowski said, they live in fear. And not even so much about their careers. And her comment was before what happened in Minnesota.
