I hardly hear about The Last of Us anymore

I stopped after S2, E1 since I knew Pedro's character was going to die. It's not even popping up in any of my feeds.

Is the show and that creepy child officially OVAH?

It's not exactly over, but the second season ended up being disappointing and people are also extremely pissed they now have to wait until 2027 to see what happens next.

White Lotus was HUGE when it was airing, but I bet it's not popping up in your feeds anymore either. That's just the TV landscape we're in, these things come and go quickly, doesn't necessarily say much about the quality or the success of the show itself.

It wasn't like viewers didn't know what was coming. I was not familiar with the game when I started watching it and (to me) the relationship with Joel and Ellie made the show. Pedro and Bella had amazing chemistry and that's partly what kept my interest.

It was sad watching the first episode of season 2, knowing Joel's fate. After episode 2, I tried watching the following episode, but it just didn't keep my interest. I watched the flashback episode. It was great seeing them together again, but, in a nutshell, Ellie on her own is not that interesting.

I'm a fan of Kaitlyn Dever's work, and it's been reported that season 3 will be about Abby and her journey. Season 3 will also be slightly delayed. Will any viewer continue watching the show at this point?

I didn't even realize they put Troy Baker in the show. That's amazing! For those who don't know, he voices Joel in the games. Video games have some incredibly talented voice actors - Jennifer English and Neil Newbon come to mind. I wouldn't be surprised to see many successful crossovers into television or film in the next five years. The most outstanding voice actors have pretty big fanbases already.

It lost me when I first heard the phrase “based on a video game”.

Fallout is based on a video game, and it was really good. What’s wrong with having a different source of inspiration?

no one wants to watch a non-binary potato head with a touch of the 'tism.

R7 especially involved in a GenZ butch love affair. Waste of time.

I'm really looking forward to S3 as I love Kaitlyn Dever. It'll be interesting to see if this season is better received.

Killing off Joel didn't go over very well with viewers, and the ratings slumped quite a bit after that episode for the rest of the season. The quality of the episodes and the season itself was weaker than season one, also.

Killing off Joel was a huge mistake, they never should've followed the video game. The show turned into a babydyke soap opera. WTF were they thinking?

Another thing I don’t like is when shows create a certain world, then out of necessity/convenience they have to change it instead of doing the hard work to remain true to it. First season the world is destroyed except a few places here and there. All of a sudden you have a thriving town with a complete infrastructure, buildings with new glass panes. When the town is destroyed, we’re suppose to believe they can just rebuild it like new? The town should look like Deadwood. The furniture should be falling apart. Life is not easy. But they have bars and dances and music and electricity that doesn’t fail them.
