Elizabeth was quite earthy, although she was also very glamorous. Her father was a wealthy art dealer and she was famous before as an adult she could even remember, but she wasn't as well bred or fancy as Grace Kelly or Dina Merrill.

Taylor had always been on her own level without necessity of inclusion in any sort of ideal - didn't apply to her. Well after the fact, I wonder if people are still able to grasp the enormity of her fame as it was.
