I’ve been following this US-based Austrian diver Alex Hart on Instagram for a while. At 5’10” with a thickset gymnast’s build (I think he trained as a gymnast), he definitely stands out
Alex mentioned last year on Instagram he made the difficult decision to skip the European Championships because of ongoing knee pain. He’s been focusing on recovery, finished his Master of Accounting at UNC, and now works as a financial advisor in Miami.

Who can focus on anything with that statue in your gaze?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | June 30, 2025 2:28 AM |
He looks short. Thanks, but no thanks.

I think it's just his hourglass figure, R5
Here’s a nice interview from a few years ago where Alex talks about preparing for the Euros and supporting his teammates. Also, you get to hear his adorable Viennese accent

I want to find his happy spot.

His female friends leave comments like “slay queen,” while some of the guys (teammates or close friends) go for things like heart emojis, “hawt,” or, in one case, on a mid-dive shot, “ddddddddddDUMP TRUCK ALERT 🚨🚨🚨.”
Alex replied: “all yours babe hahaha.”
Is this just Gen Z diver humor and I’m overthinking it, or is Alex one of us?

A "financial advisor"? In Miami.....Or a Peter Thiel employee?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | June 30, 2025 4:39 AM |
He's Thiels' type, but I sure hope not. He seems too shrewd and strategically-minded to risk falling into the sugar baby scene.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 30, 2025 4:48 AM |
From gymnast to diver to financial advisor in Miami? I'd be pretty surprised if he weren't gay.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | June 30, 2025 4:51 AM |
Delightful, OP.
Just to be an asshole, please note that he’s going to age into “turtle butt”. It’s what happens to hour-glass guys as we age. Flaps like a baby..
by Anonymous | reply 18 | June 30, 2025 5:19 AM |
Thanks,! But if turtle butt means more to admire over time, I’m here for it.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | June 30, 2025 5:29 AM |
Meeh
by Anonymous | reply 20 | June 30, 2025 6:51 AM |
Don't give a frick about this bloke. Sammy is the only Aussie diver for me mate.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | June 30, 2025 7:09 AM |
Will Alex be following Jack Laugher's lead and getting an OnlyFans?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | June 30, 2025 7:21 AM |
Unlikely. He’s Austrian, which means the boundary between his public and private life is tighter than his core during a triple out dive

R21 in Vienna airport they have a special desk for tourists who think they bought a flight to Australia.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | June 30, 2025 8:20 AM |
😂 at 5'10.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | June 30, 2025 11:21 AM |
He seems to have the wrong physique to be that much of a champion--too thick and short for a diver.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | June 30, 2025 11:29 AM |
Mmm hmm, healthy boy.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | June 30, 2025 11:37 AM |
Tiny stubby peen. With his build, I guarantee it.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | June 30, 2025 11:45 AM |
Oh, come on, R26, blaming his height and build? 5'10" isn’t short for a diver (neither is 5'8-9 if the college rosters inflated his height), and that stockier frame gives him serious power on takeoff. What's really held him back is chronic knee issues. Those kind of things can potentially destroy an athletics career if you're not careful.

Both. That generation is way more open, but also they're way more prone to joking about it because there's less of a negative connotation to most of them.
That being said, the best way to know is simply to ask.
Also, a lot of gay vernacular has made it to the straights.

R3 who is the diver second from the left? Now that’s the boy in a speedo I’d want to have.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | June 30, 2025 3:01 PM |
has Ian Thorpe commented?😳

Yeah, it's most likely he's straight and very queer-friendly and self-aware. All wishful thinking aside, there isn't really any plausible explanation why, post-Tom Daley, an athlete raised in a liberal city like Vienna with so many out teammates would remain glass-closeted. Or is there?
by Anonymous | reply 36 | June 30, 2025 3:57 PM |
5'10 is pretty tall for a diver. Jack Laugher at 5'5 is pretty much the ideal.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | June 30, 2025 3:57 PM |
It does vary quite a bit. His close friend and teammate Anton Down Jenkins, who represented NZ for the 2020 Olympics (and is openly gay), is 6'1, which is well above average. As is Sam Fricker.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | June 30, 2025 4:04 PM |
He's straight. She needs to cut several inches off...
by Anonymous | reply 39 | June 30, 2025 4:17 PM |
[Quote] now works as a financial advisor in Miami.
Until ICE grabs and deports him.
Oh, never mind. He’s white
by Anonymous | reply 40 | June 30, 2025 4:33 PM |
He's tan enough to draw in the Yellow Skin Troll like a space slug to a tractor beam

R39 Thank you, but honestly, that looks more like dinner between friends.
