R4 - only because of some British shows, but otherwise, she's an American who is well known in Britain and completely unknown in the US. It's only her association to French and Saunders that I know of her.
I haven't seen much and what I have, I wasn't particularly impressed with it.
Now, Mo Gaffney was excellent in AbFab - she had a middling career here when she was doing comedy with Kathy Najimy. Another American who may be better known in the UK than here.
