I can't believe that little old lady hobbling down the aisle is Ann-Margret. As for Eric he's beginning to resemble George Maharis in his elder years.

IIRC she broke a lot of bones when something fell on her at a stage show and those injuries are probably acting up in her later years. Its a wonder she can walk at all.

Eric just walked past me at the Weho pride parade. He looked good in person. My husband started watching some trash horror show on Shudder (Hell Motel) and Eric is TERRIBLE in it!

Eric deserved a bigger career. He is famous for Will and Grace and a stint on Bway in The Music Man.

He's in some British show, "Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue". I haven't watched it.

His character of Will Truman was written to be like Max Mutchnick, so he was anxious and bitchy and caustic. I always thought that was a terrible role for an actor to be saddled with.

One of my former boyfriends once told me he greatly identified with Will Truman, and I thought, "And that's exactly why I broke up with you."

A-M is actually a pretty good actress. As for her singing and dancing. Generally pretty sloppy stuff. She worked it but I always thought she was pretty mediocre.

Whether you like her personally or not, she was considered an absolutely electrifying performer back in the day.

There's a whole episode of "Mad Men" all about her appeal--the men at Sterling-Cooper try to copy her famous opening number for "Bye Bye Birdie" for an ad for a diet cola, but they can't make it work "because she's [i.e. the singer/dancer in the commercial] just not Ann-Margret."

A-M developed into more than a "pretty good" actress. She was an excellent Blanche in a TV STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE and held her own very well with Glenda Jackson, Julie Christie, and Alan Bates in RETURN OF THE SOLDIER.

He seems like pretty much any other daytime talk show host in that clip. That's why I don't watch those shows.

I thought she was miscast in Streetcar, far too sturdy and STILL did a very credible job. I also loved her with Julie Andrews in the tv movie Our Sons.
