Forgotten or semi-forgotten shows you liked

Does anyone remember Freakylinks or The Others? I don't think anyone watched them but me!

It's About Time. It was a caveman version of Gilligans' Island with astronauts.

I remembered the theme song but couldn't remember the show until Youtube.

NEWHART (1982-1990)

Starring Bob Newhart, ran for 8 seasons, nominated for multiple Emmys, much talked-about finale... but no one seems to talk about it.

Young people mainly know Bob for his recurring role as 'Professor Proton' on THE BIG BANG THEORY (2007-2019) which won him his only Emmy as Guest Actor in a Comedy Series.

Meant to say "Much talked-about finale throughout the '90s."

Being Human, the U.S. version.

I liked both of them, but Sam Witwer was achingly beautiful and I loved watching him.

Don Adams' Screen Test

For some reason, I really liked this show and watched it every week.

I think this was on the same night as the Don Adams' Screen Test...I remember watching this on the "other TV" in my parent's bedroom.

It was a bit "adult".

R11, I loved Homefront.

by Anonymousreply 18June 29, 2025 4:42 AM

Corner Gas is almost as bad as The Trouble With Tracy.

The Others was a weekly must see for me - killing the entire cast in different ways made for a great final episode. No reboot possible there!

The Time Travelers Wife. Mainly due to Theo James and his wonderful nakedness.

I also miss anything with Huell Howser (PBS stuff). Damn but I loved that man.

A most affable man, r23.

Slings & Arrows is worth tracking down. I borrowed the dvd sets from the library years ago. It’s a Canadian series about the production of a Shakespeare festival. There are three seasons. Paul Gross, Rachel McAdams, Sarah Polley, Luke Kirby, and a slew of Canadian actors appear.
