I don’t think Don Jr would win but Eric would. Americans crave a royal family. I guess that desire something primal in human nature that, like a lot of other things, I just don’t understand. With the 2030 Census looming, we may be shut out of the presidency for years to come if we don't win in 2028 (& have a successful presidency).

I live in Charlottesville (the home of Trump Winery). When Trump bought his winery in 2011, he installed Eric as the nomimal head. I've heard from friends who worked there that Eric was a decent person who made conscientious and thoughtful business/personnel decisions. Once Daddy announced his candidacy in 2015, the winery became a campaign site. The gift shop was stocked with red hats, and the dozens of foreign H1B workers were deliberately kept far from the main house/fields whenever cameras were around. Only white faces were allowed to be around on camera/press days. According to friends/colleagues, the Winery became more a cog in the Trump Media/Business empire (and less of a winery) with rules on dress, facial hair, attitude, etc for all employees. Eric remains the titular head, but he's no longer the thoughful leader he was 12 years ago.
