Hugh Panaro, Nik Walker, Telly Leung, Kaley Ann Voorhees, More Cast in Phantom Revival, 'Masquerade'
The immersive production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera will begin performances next month.
Sing once again with them. The forthcoming immersive revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, titled 'Masquerade,' will begin previews July 31 at a venue located at 218 W. 57th Street. As previously reported, Tony-winning Pippin director Diane Paulus will helm the forthcoming production, which will feature faces familiar to the Phantom’s universe, as well as new voices.
Notably, the cast includes several actors who starred in Phantom when it ran on Broadway, particularly Panaro, who played the title role in over 2,000 performances; Voorhees (a former Christine); and Jeremy Stolle (another former Phantom).

Masquerade, according to press notes, "blurs the lines of reality, bringing audiences inside and closer than ever before to the strange affair of the Phantom of the Opera—a mystery never fully explained. From the highest rooftop to the subterranean lair deep below the Opera Populaire, guests will be invited to experience the music of the night more intimately than ever before. And when the iconic chandelier rises again above New York City, it will provide more than 'a little illumination,' with a dazzling display of over 30,000 crystals provided by Preciosa, the Official Crystal Partner of Masquerade."

How well I remember Diane Paulus's all-female revival of "1776," starring the divine Sara Porkalob!

This upcoming revival is called 'Masquerade' at a still undisclosed venue. I don't think this is an actual restaging of the original 'Phantom."

Telly missed his one big opportunity-presenting hole on OnlyFans during the 2020 lockdown.

Will they make sure it's still really boring?

I don’t want to see anything that’s “immersive.” I want to sit and watch, not be part of the show. I’m not paying for a ticket and then be expected to perform for free.
