Why hasn't it been leaked already?

I hope they overturn the Texas porn ID law. It's an inconvenience to adults who want to view porn to have to upload an ID, in addition to the privacy concerns.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | June 26, 2025 6:56 PM |
R3 I don’t, I love it. It’s a huge digital middle finger every time one of those MAGAt retards tries to watch his sick twisted porn. This is what you voted for, assholes. Enjoy it.

The Supreme Court on Friday limited the ability of federal judges to temporarily pause President Trump’s executive orders, a major victory for the administration. But they made no ruling on the constitutionality of his move to end birthright citizenship, and stopped his order from taking effect for 30 days.

SCOTUS upholds the ACA provision requiring full coverage or preventative treatment, 6-3 vote.

The Prep case… ruling in favor of right to require expanded care under Obamacare ACA

Let’s just cut to the chase; The President is a King and you will do what he says and like it.

There is a a "universal service fund" to receive and disburse the money for subsidies, and the FCC created a private corporation to manage the fund's operations. Court says this is OK.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | June 27, 2025 2:46 PM |
6-3 on everything. And yes, please pray for Sonia Sotomayor's health, we could soon start seeing to 7-2
by Anonymous | reply 10 | June 27, 2025 2:54 PM |
SCOTUS upholding fascism.
Without a national injunction, Trump can attempt to deport anyone and that person who have to hire a lawyer to prove he’s an American citizen—no one is safe
by Anonymous | reply 11 | June 27, 2025 2:56 PM |
Thank goodness SCOTUS kept ACA’s preventive care rules

Parents can opt out of any lesson that includes LGBTQ because of Jesus.
How long before they get to opt out of science and evolution ??

R10, she should have retired while Biden could replace her. I remember that being discussed back when.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | June 27, 2025 3:02 PM |
Yes. What r14 said is the real problem.
Until now, debates over what materials were best and/or appropriate for kids were settled by the schools the school boards, state legislatures, etc. This process was done in consultation with parents to be clear, but no one parent had a right to decide the PUBLIC school curriculum. The Court just gave every parent a constitutionally mandated veto power. This is unworkable in practice and will lead to schools avoiding any topics that might raise objections.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 27, 2025 3:06 PM |
Sorry gang. Court upholds Texas requirement for porn ID.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | June 27, 2025 3:15 PM |
Now you can (and will) be hacked and tracked for using porn.

Another ridiculous decision re ID . So sick of this church lady SCOTUS. The good news is that, for now, anyone in an impacted area can get around it with a VPN. No need to comply. That's until they crack down on VPNs. Ayatollah Comey Barrett and the regime will no doubt approve of that too

The Dems just need to take back the Senate at the next election. Hold on, Sotomayor!

Result:
Trump is officially declared King.
Miss Lindsey will be officially anointed First Mistress.
Trans will be determined subject to extermination
Corruption is completely acceptable if done by the Trump family or one of Trump’s operatives.
It will be illegal to ask rich people to pay taxes.
The environment is there to be exploited without regulations. Wildlife may only exist in zoos. Clean water, fresh air, uncontaminated food, are not important. Tress are the enemy.
Health care for the poor and elderly need not be federally funded.
Seen as a victory for Woke Democrats, they are allowed to have their statues and memorials to George Floyd and Abrego Garcia, but only in blue inner cities, and be a maximums of 8’ high and 6’’wide,, and limited to be within traffic circles with no garden flowers or shrubs.
Trump approved for federal funding to have his likeness to Mt. Rushmore and wherever else he decides. Ft. Knox is handed over to Trump for his personal investments and expenditures.
Trump may add Canada, Greenland, and the Panama Canal Zone, as U.S. states without impediments. There will be no barriers for Tump to hand over Puerto Rico and Guam to Putin and Russia.

ACB sums up the SCOTUS Reactionary Six and their agenda by saying the Federal Courts do not (and should not) "exercise general oversight of the Executive Branch; they resolve cases and controversies consistent with the authority Congress has given them. When a Court concludes that the Executive Branch has acted unlawfully, the answer is not for the court to exceed its power, too."
There's the capitulation to Trump's Fascism in black and white.

by Anonymous | reply 33 | June 27, 2025 6:16 PM |
Just so I understand, the MAGAt kids have to sit in the hall while the kids with open-minded parents get to learn in the classroom? That doesn't sound bad.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | June 27, 2025 6:19 PM |
More practically, the teacher just won’t read any books that might offend religious parents. It’s a roundabout censorship.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | June 27, 2025 6:23 PM |
Exactly, r35.
The real world effect of this is a parental veto. This is simply not workable when you're teaching 30 some kids a day (or over a 100 if it's junior high and high school where students change classes).
Kids with opt outs don't just sit outside in the hall. They are usually given some sort of alternate lesson (health instead of sex, for example) and assignments and all that. (I realize this was really little kids and assignments weren't an issue, but that won't always be the case.) This is a lot of extra work for teachers.
And since this is now a constitutional matter, schools will be extremely sensitive to the threat of lawsuits. They will tell teachers to pick the blandest of everything possible. And to avoid "sensitive" subjects".
The Trump decision is getting all the air time today, and that's understandable, but this decision and the photo ID decision will in time prove to be very damaging as well.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | June 27, 2025 7:51 PM |
What voter ID decision?
by Anonymous | reply 37 | June 27, 2025 8:17 PM |
I have no idea why I typed that, r37, I meant age verification decision. Brain fart.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | June 27, 2025 8:25 PM |
This is devastating to us all. The Supreme Court's majority now says there are no protections from the arbitrary abuse of power and that the POTUS is above law..
by Anonymous | reply 39 | June 27, 2025 8:39 PM |
Well, it makes it more difficult and more expensive and probably slower to enforce those rights. We know have to rely on cumbersome Class Action procedures.
It reminds me very much of the deportation case where the Court ruled that habeas petitions need to be filed in each case before a judge in the district in which the alien was being held.
Throwing up procedural hurdles to make it much more difficult and expensive to uphold rights thwarts the power of groups like the ACLU.
Basically, the Court is running interference for the despot not for the citizens
by Anonymous | reply 40 | June 27, 2025 8:47 PM |
Shitty, all the way around
by Anonymous | reply 41 | June 27, 2025 10:39 PM |
Alito & Thomas need impeached.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | June 27, 2025 10:56 PM |
One day soon Trump and friends will put SCOTUS out to pasture-Dump will make all decisions.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | June 27, 2025 11:20 PM |
It’s horrid
by Anonymous | reply 44 | June 28, 2025 4:37 AM |
I'd say it was amusing the justices don't see how they are creating the conditions for their own demise, r43, but it means we all will be living in a dictatorship, so schadenfreude doesn't help any here.
