OP are any of these cunts still alive gramps?
by Anonymous | reply 1 | June 26, 2025 2:01 PM |
When did we peak?
I think 1994. It all started going downhill with the internet in 1995 and technology replacing culture.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | June 26, 2025 2:01 PM |
Born Free. That was culture! đ„ș

Not pictured with this lovely trio is beautiful Raquel Welch.

Next to Woody Allen!!
by Anonymous | reply 7 | June 26, 2025 2:54 PM |
And all are still alive. I don't think any of them shared the same dude at any time.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | June 26, 2025 2:59 PM |
a spot of gravy on Ursula's mink cuff?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | June 26, 2025 3:01 PM |
They all got the white glove memo
by Anonymous | reply 10 | June 26, 2025 4:00 PM |
All classic beauties. Raquel should have known better and covered the girls for her meet and greet with the Queen.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | June 26, 2025 4:15 PM |
Back in the day, the press dubbed Miss Andress as "Ursula Undress" because she was frequently [italic]underdressed[/italic] in films.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | June 26, 2025 5:16 PM |
Did Ursula come straight from the set? Sheâs wearing the same dress in the film scene as when meeting the Queen. Also, thatâs actually Peter Sellers pretending to look like Woody Allen (again, heâs wearing the same tux in the scene and with the Queen).
by Anonymous | reply 14 | June 26, 2025 5:22 PM |
She bore a child for a guy who ended up with Lisa Rinna. Oh how the mighty fallâŠ
by Anonymous | reply 15 | June 26, 2025 5:23 PM |
Or IS it Woody Allen? They were all in Casino Royale togetherđ€·đ»ââïž
by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 26, 2025 5:30 PM |
Ursula was a John Derek discovery, so it's a miracle she had any honor for acting.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | June 26, 2025 5:43 PM |
She was in several films and under contract before she met/married Derek.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | June 26, 2025 5:50 PM |
R15 And she went out with Harry Hamlin - what was she thinking?
Then again, he then married Rinna...
by Anonymous | reply 19 | June 26, 2025 5:53 PM |
âAnd she went out with Harry Hamlinâ
Are you quite sure?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | June 26, 2025 5:54 PM |
Confirmed: itâs Woody Allen with the Queen and Lisa Rinnaâs stepsonâs mother. Whoâd a thunk it?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | June 26, 2025 6:02 PM |
R22, please refrain from referring to Ursula Andress as "Lisa Rinnaâs stepsonâs mother." Were you born in a barn?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | June 26, 2025 6:14 PM |
No, but I think I have a good sense of humor.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | June 26, 2025 6:15 PM |
Catherine Deneuve helped me seduce a bisexual guy, many years ago.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | June 26, 2025 6:15 PM |
This was six months before I was born and I'm 58 now and they're all still alive. They must all be old hags by now.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | June 26, 2025 6:22 PM |
Ursula Andress is 89, Julie Christie is 85 and Catherine Deneuve is only 81.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | June 26, 2025 6:31 PM |
As opposed to r26 who remains daisy fresh at a youthful 58.
As opposed to [R26] who remains daisy fresh at a youthful 58.
And looks 24, of course.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | June 26, 2025 6:42 PM |
Well, as long as you and your mom think so that's all that matters, R24.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | June 26, 2025 6:48 PM |
According to Ursula Andress' wiki bio, she and John Derek separated because of her affair with her "Once Before I Die" co-star Ron Ely. The film also starred and was directed by John Derek! That must've been quite a rocky shoot! Their divorce was finalized before the film's release.
Andress and Deneuve share at least two paramours that we know of: Marcello Mastroianni and Franco Nero.

R14 mystifying about Ursulas dress! It's the same damn dress, right?
according to IMDB
What's New Pussycat was released in 1965- "What's New Pussycat" (1965) was filmed in various locations in France, primarily in Paris and its surrounding areas. Key filming locations included Villa Castel Henriette in SÚvres, Chùteau de Chaumontel, and Luzarches. Studio work was also conducted at Paris Studios Cinéma in Billancourt. The film was produced in the USA and France, according to Svensk Filmdatabas.

I was certain Julie Christie was dead but apparently not.
[R14] mystifying about Ursulas dress! It's the same damn dress, right?
What's mystifying, r34? It wasn't uncommon for actresses to borrow studio clothes for premieres and special events.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | June 26, 2025 7:06 PM |
R34 no oneâs talking about that movie released a year earlier. She wore the dress in Casino Royaleâwhich was being filmed at the exact same time as the Born Free premiere.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | June 26, 2025 7:19 PM |
For my money Julie Christie was the most beautiful, most sensuous, most talented , most charismatic of that trio.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | June 26, 2025 7:25 PM |
She won her Oscar in mid-April, just after OPâs photo was taken
by Anonymous | reply 40 | June 26, 2025 7:31 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 41 | June 26, 2025 7:34 PM |
Did Julie Christie ever marry?
by Anonymous | reply 42 | June 26, 2025 7:43 PM |
Back when beautiful women were actually beautiful.
Wearing fur to that event seems like an odd choice, though.

Ursula seemed tense that evening. Here sheÂŽs having a lively discussion with Raquel.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | June 26, 2025 7:52 PM |
R42, she lived with the journalist Duncan Campbell for many years, and they later married secretly.

R46 poor Woody. Did he get a woody?
by Anonymous | reply 48 | June 26, 2025 8:41 PM |
I wonder why Christie stopped acting? She was having a nice resurgence about 15 years ago, but then disappeared. She even got an Oscar nomination in 2006.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | June 26, 2025 8:50 PM |
She should have won â
by Anonymous | reply 50 | June 26, 2025 9:00 PM |
Christie appeared in a Redford film as a terrorist on the run. Good movie and great cast, too. Sarandon was in it.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | June 26, 2025 9:06 PM |
I read that as Julie Andrews and was trying to figure out which one she was. I need a nap.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | June 26, 2025 9:16 PM |
There's just no glamour anymore.

1966 was a good year for fashion. The young and hip were adopting the Swinging London mod styles, but they still looked well-kempt, well-fitted, and properly washed.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | June 26, 2025 10:39 PM |
all still alive and hung onto their good looks for longer than usual
by Anonymous | reply 61 | June 26, 2025 11:42 PM |
How tall is Ursula, 4â6â?
by Anonymous | reply 65 | June 27, 2025 12:34 AM |
Sadly, I believe I've heard Julie Christie has been suffering from dementia the last several years.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | June 27, 2025 1:11 AM |
Now this is glamour
by Anonymous | reply 67 | June 27, 2025 1:40 AM |
R66, no she does not have dementia, she has some form of amnesia. Here: " Julie Christie is suffering from a rare and irreversible condition called autobiographic amnesia, which results from trauma to the hippocampus, the part of the brain where memories are made." It's not neurodegenerative like Alzheimer's.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | June 27, 2025 2:03 AM |
You have to love that picture of the three of them, dressed and coiffed to the nines. And wearing long gloves too, which pretty much went out of fashion a couple of years later. And most of all, all that ceremony for a movie premiere whilst today we just have âcontentâ that slinks along into streaming services with no special fanfare.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | June 27, 2025 2:16 AM |
And most of all, all that ceremony for a movie premiere
Well, it [italic]was[/italic] a Royal Film Premiere with Queen Elizabeth in attendance, so there was something extra about it.

by Anonymous | reply 72 | June 27, 2025 5:17 AM |
Itâs just so fascinating looking back at the glamour of it all, all of them beautiful and groomed. And the Queen and the Duchess of Kent in their white furs and tiaras looking amazing.
Thanks for posting this OP.
by Anonymous | reply 73 | June 27, 2025 5:38 AM |
I always liked the Duchess of Kent. She comes across as a very kind woman. I especially like the way she stopped being a working royal, dropped the HRH, and became a music teacher. She has been open about her experience of severe depression, not very typical of the buttoned up royals.

John Derek was a homo THAT is why they broke up.
by Anonymous | reply 86 | June 27, 2025 11:39 AM |
R49 even without her autobiographic amnesia, Christie has said she never aspired to be the another Meryl Streep. She loathes Hollywood, has taken years off at a time from films, and prefers the private, secluded life. Sheâs retired and at least her last film was a decent Redford film.
by Anonymous | reply 87 | June 27, 2025 11:45 AM |
R76, you mean Princess Michael of Kent.

would an event like this, a "Royal Film Performance" where royals are attending, had an afternoon rehearsal?]]

Julie was also experiencing the success of
Doctor Zhivago âș Release date December 31, 1965
for most film goers that's would have been the first film they would have seen her in
Catherine Deneuve's first big success was in the 1964 film The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, a musical directed by Jacques Demy. (wiki)

Raquels manager husband Patrick Curtis spills some tea how Raquel managed to secure the spotlight.
Curtis explained how they manipulated her appearance to draw all the focus on her: âShe decided, with my help, to wear a modest white dress with just a little cleavage, but it did make her stand out. With all the other big names at the that even, it was Raquel who was photographed by, I think every photographer in London while shaking hands with the Queen of England.â
The following day Raquel wearing her simple white dress appeared in every London and provincial newspaper. Curtis was accused of manipulating the photograph and arranging it to be printed at the exclusion of everyone else who attended that evening. You would have thought Raquel was the sole big star there.
Curtis admitted the photo had been manipulated, but by Raquel herself. They had both worked out a plan of action prior to the event. She maneuvered herself into the line of stars to the area where she would be closest to the photographers in an unobstructed view.
âShe instinctively knew that it would be her picture which would be used in the papers. Her dark skin on that white dress really made her stand out in that crowd.â
âIt was that picture, thanks to the London press, which âmadeâ Raquel an international celebrity â being photographed with the Queen of England. It didnât hurt her in the States, either. One of the wire services picked it up and it appeared in practically every major newspaper at home!â

That hussy! Trying to outshine the Queen herself.
Woody Allen is in every picture sheâs inâŠ.was he a co-conspirator?

Ursula Andess arrived in Hollywood in 1955 and signed a seven-year contract with Paramount Pictures, but this generated no acting roles because she kept skipping speech and elocution classes that would've perfected her English. She bought out her contract and signed with Columbia Pictures, but that also produced no gigs.
Her big claim to fame at the time was her "romance" with James Dean, whom she supposedly dumped for John Derek. She put her career on hold to play wife to Derek, but re-emerged and re-invented sleeker and with long hair (at Derek's behest) as a Bond girl in "Dr No" (1962).
