I told my friends once that I was a FAT WHORE.

This place can affect your filter over time, it's true. Long ago I got in trouble for casually describing a mutual friend as having "carb face". (Which he totally did and does) It just fell out of my mouth like it was a factual descriptor and not the cuntitudinous remark it was. Oopsie..

Not on purpose but it has been known to rear its ugly head from time to time and cause me trouble.

This might sound strange, but being on the DL for two decades has provided me with a grand sense of humor, and a thicker skin. My friends have indirectly picked up some of the lingo. They use the terms “senselessly harassed” and “viciously slapped” without any context or knowledge of origin. We enhance people’s lives. Plain and simple.

I once wrote a reply on FB saying, “Oh, dear! Good grammar is as important as good manners.” Many were not amused.

I tend to be cuntish in real life, but often curtail it. My friends are as well. DL has given me an outlet to be fully myself. Speaking of cunt, the word “cunt” was a part of my vocabulary long before DL. My current significant other also uses it, and he’s not on DL that I know of.

Hell I've stood in front of hundreds of people and quoted from the DL. What's wrong with that? The material I get from here is priceless.

The term "voice" is a standard way to describe the tone, style, sentence structure and cadence, perspective, and word choice used by an author in his writing.

I have been posting here since 2000. I love you guys. Even with all the snark, I can depend on DL to brighten my day. My husband Mark and I just celebrated 50yrs followed immediately by a pancreatic cancer diagnosis. I will be around for only a short time and I wanted to thank Datalounge for being a wonderful source of news, and great wit!
