Should the military draft be brought back just for Gen Z?

These little shits swung conservative this last election despite everybody hyping them up as saviors of American democracy.

I think it should, just for them. And include both male and female Gen Z in that draft since they're all about gender equality. A little war might do them some good!

by Anonymousreply 31June 27, 2025 10:54 PM

The military draft should not be brought back for anyone, ever.

by Anonymousreply 1June 26, 2025 7:40 AM

It should be reinstated for Gen Z but abolished for those poor innocents, Gen Alpha. They weren't the ones who went all in for Trump.

by Anonymousreply 2June 26, 2025 7:41 AM

Send them off to Gaza and Iran.

by Anonymousreply 3June 26, 2025 7:46 AM

Service to country and others is so old school. It’s like something from a black and white movie. This country is full of people who are worthless at best and deserving of being served by others at their worst.,

And it hardly starts with GenZ..

A service to country draft . Two years of service of some kind or move to Panama ,

by Anonymousreply 4June 26, 2025 9:38 AM

Draft Joe Rogan and Barstool Sports listeners who voted for Trump

by Anonymousreply 5June 26, 2025 10:29 AM

Half the time they'd be deciding what gender they should be today, tomorrow, the next day, etc. Bad for war strategizing.

by Anonymousreply 6June 26, 2025 10:47 AM

I would LMAO if Gen Z started getting drafted. 😂😂😂

Serves you right, you nasty little judgmental cunts! Go bring your judgment to Iran.

by Anonymousreply 7June 26, 2025 10:48 AM

Let's be Gen Z in Iran 😂

by Anonymousreply 8June 26, 2025 10:49 AM

I'm the Mom Jeans hidden beneath the burqa.

by Anonymousreply 9June 26, 2025 10:49 AM

Not just Z -- everybody under 32, no exceptions.

Unless you're housed in some kind of institution, I'm sure the military can find something for you to do.

by Anonymousreply 10June 26, 2025 10:52 AM

Bring it back for Gen Z women only. They think they're as good and as strong as men.

Let's these little bitches defend the country.

by Anonymousreply 11June 26, 2025 10:54 AM

Don't half of Gen Z women claim to be Queer?

Let these little dykes take up arms.

by Anonymousreply 12June 26, 2025 11:10 AM

Only if boot camp is made a "safe space." Drill sergeants will need to become more like "caring" college RAs. And the chow halls will need to serve "organic bowls."

by Anonymousreply 13June 26, 2025 11:38 AM

I do wonder how gay men would be looked upon in the US if the public thought protector first when thinking of gay men , police fire military etc , rather than another who needs protecting?

The elderly, the women the young children and the queens to the life boats first kind of thing.

by Anonymousreply 14June 26, 2025 12:14 PM

They should stop giving loans for bullshit degrees.

by Anonymousreply 15June 26, 2025 12:39 PM

R14 lol like we think of “protector” when it comes to straight men?

Not fucking likely

by Anonymousreply 16June 26, 2025 12:43 PM

R16, I'm a protector of straight men's assholes.

by Anonymousreply 17June 26, 2025 12:44 PM

R16 the average person or voter in the US thinks of the police, the fire fighters, the military etc as their protectors. You are certainly free to see it otherwise.

by Anonymousreply 18June 26, 2025 1:42 PM

R18, the average basic cunt does.

I never think of some stupid pig being my 'protector.'

by Anonymousreply 19June 26, 2025 1:44 PM

R14, you need to discuss that with Pete Buttigieg.

by Anonymousreply 20June 26, 2025 2:22 PM

It's complicated. Consider what has happened to median starting salary for a 22 year old, vs median cost of housing, over the past few generations. My dad joined the workforce in the 1950s; his starting salary as a civil engineer was $9K and you could buy a very decent 3-4BR starter home for $25K. A ratio of less than 1:3. Today? Starting salary $50K and a 3BR starter house $750K, which is a ratio of 1:15.

This and other similar socioeconomic pieces, it all factors GREATLY into their worldview. They'll stay discontent and keep voting out the status quo. They did it to Trump and then they did it to Biden, and soon they'll do it to Trump again.

by Anonymousreply 21June 26, 2025 2:29 PM

We hope.

by Anonymousreply 22June 27, 2025 11:50 AM

They should scrap the age limit and start drafting you boomers who got the world into this mess. Yeah you’re old but there’s plenty of you to keep rotating them in fresh while some take breaks, like defensive linemen.

by Anonymousreply 23June 27, 2025 12:21 PM

I tried to re-enlist back when they were raising the enlistment age limit, because by that time I had a master's degree + and I could go back in as an officer. But both times they told me I was two years too old. In other words, they raised the age limit two years, I was two years too old, and two years later they raised it two years again, so I was [italic]still[/italic] two years too old.

by Anonymousreply 24June 27, 2025 12:38 PM

Yes and women should have to enlist.

by Anonymousreply 25June 27, 2025 12:41 PM

I'm too old to be on anyone's front lines and would probably injure myself in Basic, but hell, I can't find a job. House me and teach me something new on the country's dime. Or use the skills I have.

by Anonymousreply 26June 27, 2025 12:48 PM

[quote]women should have to enlist

The word "enlist" in and of itself implies voluntary entry into the military.

If someone "has to" enlist, it's called "the draft," or being drafted, an involuntary entry into the military.

I believe (I could be wrong) that when there was a draft, people were only drafted into the Army. If you wanted to go into some other military branch (to get out of being drafted into the Army), you had to enlist into that branch.

by Anonymousreply 27June 27, 2025 1:14 PM

R27 generally true. But I had a friend from back in the day that got drafted and when he showed up he was then told he was going to MCRD to become a Marine. He ended up doing a very interesting combat tour in SVN.

It’s not often but a few were drafted into the corps,

by Anonymousreply 28June 27, 2025 2:30 PM

Yep, if they voted for Trump go fight in Iran

by Anonymousreply 29June 27, 2025 10:39 PM

Many Gen Z males voted for Trump. So I would say yes.

by Anonymousreply 30June 27, 2025 10:52 PM

R30, Gen Z women shifted to the right compared to previously-aged women in their age bracket, too.
