In 2019, I stayed at a Knight's Inn that was quite nice in Kingman, AZ. That was the year I rode my Harley Ultra Classic out I-40 to California from FL. I was surprised at what a great motel it was, since they usually are pretty skanky, and they even had souvenir Knight's Inn Kingman, AZ baseball caps for sale for $4. I bought one (of course, I have a baseball hat collection), and I still have it.

But I just looked on Google maps to see where it was, and I couldn't find it. Perhaps some other chain bought the place out.

I had two very bad nights over the years, one at a Super 8 full of junkies in the parking lot and a horrible room, and one at a Motel 6 where the desk clerk (who was the only one who knew I was there) was making obscene phone calls to my room. I'd gone there to stay the night before an interview, and needless to say, I got no sleep at all and blew that interview. But that was at a community college in what is now Trump's county, and I'm very glad I didn't get the job.

What a shithole. And the Knight's Inn was pretty bad, too. First and only bed I've ever slept in that had a dip/was collapsed in the middle.

I went to a Knight’s Inn once in Texas. One of the amenities was a filthy fly swatter attached to the wall with a bent nail.

Well, if the architecture is any indication of the warm yet professional greeting and attention to every detail, im sure it's a luxury experience of a lifetime. Quality!

You have to love people who want to spend $50 a night for a motel/hotel room in any US metropolitan area, then get all pissy when said room is a roach infested dump.
