There's something very medically off. She looks like she's on prednisone for a long time and also her mouth seems post-stroke or at least Bell's Palsy. The puffiness seems to be from a medical condition.

Agree with R4, something medical. It’s not just weight gain that’s altered her appearance. Her Tuscan life seems wonderful.

She has a new "Meals in Minutes" show on FYI; you can stream it on Hulu. Quite different from her original 30-minute meal concept, but still into shortcuts. Sort of fun to watch, except her husband is on too often.

Rachael Ray is very successful but not quite so telegenic. Even before this bloated, slurring form we see today, she has always had an odd sounding voice, loud and unrefined. Sara Moulton quietly shuffles around and thinks aloud about ingredients. She was the original food media presence who was displaced by Rachael Ray, but she seems ok with that now. She speaks pretty openly about her experiences in food media, including her discouragement at times. Moulton seems like a very nice lady, very tiny.

r13 Moulton is a petite kitchen wizard. When she picks up a salad fork, it looks like a pitchfork.

I remember commenting the same thing on a Rachael Ray thread on DL years ago R27. When she started out, she made simple Italian or Italian American dishes, but then somewhere along the way she went as trashy as possible. And Im not sure why.

I always laughed at her "adaptations" of a trashy concept like Buffalo Wings. She was inspired to do stuff like Buffalo Wings pasta, Buffalo Wings burgers, etc.
