Have drivers gotten noticeably worse in your city?

I mean very noticeably. Four near misses in a week here from other drivers. One guy was entering the freeway behind me, almost lost control of his car, corrected and kept speeding up behind me and wasn't paying attention, nearly plowing into me as traffic was touch and go. He was looking around all over the place. More like he dropped something and was frantically looking for it. Pipe, joint, phone?

Let's not discuss the people coming into public places reeking of skunk weed. Can people go anywhere without being high? Can they drive on that shit?

Most things and people are much worse. Except young men. They are still gorgeous.

Everyone seems more impatient and distracted nowadays.

it really has nothing to do with more people smoking pot.

it has to do with more people feeling entitled to do whatever the fuck they want. I see this all the time. Everyone just drives with a "me first!" attitude, with no regard to actual rules/laws.

Maybe, but here in SoCal what I have noticed is a decrease in freeway traffic. And an almost complete absence of lawn care trucks. I suspect both might be due to the random immigration roundups, but no way to be sure. Add to it, there’s been a marked increase of CHP patrolling the two freeways I take to and from work.

Monday morning somebody cut in front of me to enter the express lanes. I had to tap my brakes to avoid him, but there was a CHP car right behind me. They pulled him over. Arizona plates. Then yesterday on my way home, I noticed a woman in an SUV barrelling up on me from behind. She swerved around me on the left and took off just as Waze announced that police were reported ahead. He lit her up before she got to him.

I saw a car accident in LA on Monday and another one yesterday, Tuesday. Yesterday's looked serious..air bags deployed and everything.

Damn R4. I wish that were true here. We have a marked absence of patrols on the freeways. The toll roads are covered but that's a different jurisdiction.

Nah. Boston’s always been bad.

I was told by a Brazilian that Rio’s traffic was worse, but that we were right behind them.

Yes I have. I always attribute it to increased distractions from phones, whether using the GPS or scrolling for songs or talking. Also a lot more drug users these days from pot to pills.

This would also explain people's increasing erratic behavior when not behind the wheel of a car.

Yes I have noticed*
