A hug? TF??

My God, it's 2025!

They don’t want grandma to stroke out.

by Anonymousreply 2June 25, 2025 5:02 PM

R2, grandma can’t find her story on Peacock.

Christopher Sean stays beautiful.

by Anonymousreply 3June 25, 2025 5:03 PM

We were saving the kiss for our wedding night threesome with the whore Paul is gifting Andrew as the groom’s gift.

Haha. Stroke. Haha.

by Anonymousreply 5June 25, 2025 5:17 PM

They were shown, post fuck, in bed earlier in the episode. It's not like Days shied away from that, maybe the writer thought people would be bored with a kiss.

by Anonymousreply 6June 25, 2025 5:24 PM

If what r6 says is true, it probably wasn't due to homophobia. Unless one of the actor's refused... (IDK if the actors are gay or straight. Not my thing...

by Anonymousreply 7June 25, 2025 5:47 PM

Days has never shied away from treating the gays like everyone else, including love scenes. If someone is going to get hung up on a kiss, they haven't been watching the show. I haven't been to a wedding in a while. Do people still kiss at the end?

by Anonymousreply 8June 25, 2025 5:49 PM

Anyone watching Days of Our Lives is, at minimum 70, so it makes sense.

If it's so gay friendly that it shows gay fucking on air, why shy away from showing a kiss?

by Anonymousreply 10June 25, 2025 5:56 PM

hate to repeat my comment, but I seriously wonder if one of the actors refused? A kiss on the lips might be more "eww" for a homophobic straight guy to do than simulated sex.

by Anonymousreply 11June 25, 2025 6:00 PM

Maybe the hug has come to symbolize and mean more than the traditional wedding kiss.

by Anonymousreply 12June 25, 2025 6:05 PM

The actor playing Andrew is openly gay IRL, and the one playing Paul has had numerous gay sex scenes on this show. Maybe one of them had the flu that day.

by Anonymousreply 13June 25, 2025 6:06 PM

I'm with R11.

R13, has the one playing Paul ever had a KISSING scene, though?

by Anonymousreply 14June 25, 2025 6:41 PM

Yep.

Christopher Sean, who plays Paul, is straight but has always been a really supportive ally. He has always seemed genuinely grateful and honored for the role.

I would find it hard to believe that he refused to play a kiss.

by Anonymousreply 17June 25, 2025 7:04 PM

There haven't been any real sex scenes. Just scenes where they are in bed, presumably naked, in a post-sex state having pillow talk. It usually ends with a peck on the lips kiss.

Maybe the producers think a peck on the lips is fine but a full on, deep wedding kiss isn't

From about 5:30 on...

Maybe Andrew’s chin kept getting in the way.

I guess it’s better than the shoulder pat between male partners we used to be stuck with.

by Anonymousreply 21June 25, 2025 8:09 PM

R20 - BOTH their chins, in that photo!

by Anonymousreply 22June 25, 2025 9:51 PM

What kind of shit is this? Wedding with no kisses.

by Anonymousreply 23June 25, 2025 9:55 PM

That does seem really weird and I doubt it came from either actor.

by Anonymousreply 24June 25, 2025 9:57 PM

How can two men have sex? I’m confused? He’s not setup like me.

by Anonymousreply 25June 25, 2025 9:58 PM

Why I won't attend any fictional daytime drama gay weddings where the couples kiss

Sorry, I’m STILL traumatized and unforgiving about Susan and the husband arguing in the living room while the baby outside through the open door on the back-yard, has fallen off the swing! 😱🥺

by Anonymousreply 28June 26, 2025 2:05 AM

Imagine the frau outrage if a heterosexual couple didn't kiss.

by Anonymousreply 29June 26, 2025 2:07 AM

DOOR

by Anonymousreply 30June 26, 2025 2:36 AM

R28, that happened on the show?
