Room For Two/Pilot (1992)
Starring dl icon Linda Lavin.
Let's discuss this forgotten or NEVER remembered sitcom.
The daughter is the same actress who played Nancy's oncologist on the very special series of episodes on thirtysomething when Nancy has cancer. Another DL fav- Barbara Thorndyke has a small role in this.
Let's not forget poor man's James Caan- David Groh who's looks by this time have faded quite a bit.

You forgot to mention Andrew Prine, that big-dicked stud!

Oh that’s where I saw that Heaton chick! 😵💫
You left out Andrew Prine, he of the big cock.
Poor Linda—the typecasting she dealt with.

Is that Lavin herself scatting the theme song?

This was a cute show that deserved a better shot.
It had Paula Kelly!

I do remember this. It was not good but not terrible. It ran for part of one season and part of the next.
I can only imagine Heaton and Lavin backstage....a clash of the titans. Pat Heaton is one of the cuntiest cunts who ever cunted.

This is an intriguing presentation of opening credits:
Linda Lavin’s multitracked light jazz vocals alternating with a scene of her anxiously trying to hold off shitting her pants when she can’t find her apartment keys.

At least we know that Courtney Cox stole her look from young Patricia. Give me brows, now!

I remember the theme song, but that's about it.
I can imagine Linda Lavin saying, "I'll do the show, but only if I get to record the theme song. I'll just do my Alice 'bom bom bom bom, bayoom' schtick, but it'll be the entire song."

The clip at R7's link also has a mention of "Sibs," a show I do not recall at all.
Apparently it was yet another try to make Margaret Colin Happen, somehow, somewhere.

I believe that Margaret Colin SHOULD have happened (more).

Looks like Sibs takes place in Doug and Carrie Heffernan’s home.

A shame she never had a decent primetime role until, what, Gossip Girl?

Bess Meyer is like a young Amy Brenneman.

Actually Heaton and Lavin got along just fine, somewhat surprisingly. They stayed in touch over the years and went Lavin passed away, Heaton posted a nice memorial on social media. I think Heaton's political views got more conservative over the years, so maybe at the point they worked together Heaton was more liberal.

If Heaton was anything like her brother, she was maybe a somewhat conservative Catholic Democrat in her earlier years, but drifted to the right as time went on.

Chilling. There was one scene when he basically tells a guy he'll enjoy eating him later.

He was Patty Duke’s mean older brother in The Miracle Worker.

r24 this was the scene in V. He told Daniel, a human collaborator, that he was going to eat him. This scene scared the hell out me when I was a kid.
