He's my congressman here in Long Beach. I like him, but there are a few who didn't like him as mayor of LB. He's been viewed as a political climber. Personally, I think he's doing a pretty good job as my rep.

And he seems to do well at climbing, too. New blood is good.

Great for him.
Also, it would be ideal if everyone could start working together, regardless of party.
Most of the USA is moderate and we have gone too long with extremes (on both sides) dictating the direction.

Thank God he's one of the newer don't -take-their-b.s. types.

No, we haven’t let both extremes take over, r5. That is an absurd claim, even if your reference point was just the last five years.
What has happened is that whenever Democrats have gained powers, they moderated their positions or attempted bipartisanship. Republicans used that to their advantage. Each time Republicans have gained power, they have worked to push an extreme agenda and disenfranchise voters.
The bothsiders like r5 just make it worse. I have a bothsider acquaintance who goes on and on blaming Democrats for being mean and intolerant. But she never gets around to criticizing Republicans. Not even when they murder Democrats in their own homes.

I’ll skip the lazy-ass homo joke of a movie. They sold out for that one. Leapfrog has a good, old political context.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
