Likely influenced by his acting bit on Emergency, he became a EMT. One of the good guys.

Allegedly hooked up with Sal Mineo.

From John Stamos' Instagram:
johnstamos 32m From one ex teen idol, to another - rest in peace Bobby Sherman. This is from his wife, my friend, Brigitte
“It is with the heaviest heart that I share the passing of my beloved husband, Bobby Sherman. Bobby left this world holding my hand—just as he held up our life with love, courage, and unwavering grace through all 29 beautiful years of marriage. I was his Cinderella, and he was my prince charming. Even in his final days, he stayed strong for me. That’s who Bobby was—brave, gentle, and full of light. As he rested, I read him fan letters from all over the world—words of love and gratitude that lifted his spirits and reminded him of how deeply he was cherished. He soaked up every word with that familiar sparkle in his eye. And yes, he still found time to crack well-timed jokes—Bobby had a wonderful, wicked sense of humor. It never left him. He could light up a room with a look, a quip, or one of his classic, one-liners. Known around the world for his music and acting, he brought joy to millions through songs like “Julie, Do Ya Love Me,” “Easy Come, Easy Go,” and “Little Woman,” and through his beloved role in Here Come the Brides. But to those who truly knew him, Bobby was something much more. He was a man of service. He traded sold-out concerts and magazine covers for the back of an ambulance, becoming an EMT and a trainer with the LAPD. He saved lives. He showed us what real heroism looks like—quiet, selfless, and deeply human. Bobby is survived by his two sons, Tyler and Christopher, and six beautiful grandchildren. He lived with integrity, gave without hesitation, and loved with his whole heart. And though our family feels his loss profoundly, we also feel the warmth of his legacy—his voice, his laughter, his music, his mission. Thank you to every fan who ever sang along, who ever wrote a letter, who ever sent love his way. He felt it. Rest gently, my love. With gratitude and love,
Brigitte Poublon Sherman.”

by Anonymousreply 19June 24, 2025 6:39 PM

My sister won't a meet and greet from 16 Magazine (remember that mag?). She was one of like 40 girls who met him at a record store in Manhattan. Every girl got a picture with him while she held the LP.

Won, not won't

by Anonymousreply 21June 24, 2025 6:42 PM

Loved him in an episode of [italic]Emergency!,[/italic] playing a cocky medical resident sexy Dr. Brackett feels needs a bit of humbling.

(Though I'd have preferred seeing sexy Dr. Brackett humbling our purty resident in other ways....)

by Anonymousreply 22June 24, 2025 6:43 PM

He was, in a word, Dreamy. RIP.

by Anonymousreply 23June 24, 2025 6:43 PM

by Anonymousreply 39June 24, 2025 9:53 PM

My cousin and I (when we were about 8), use to play boyfriends with Bobby Sherman and David Cassidy. He always picked Bobby and I always wanted David Cassidy

We both are gay, naturally

by Anonymousreply 40June 24, 2025 10:06 PM

Stage Four diagnosed in March. Rest gently, Bobby.

by Anonymousreply 41June 24, 2025 10:08 PM

Didn’t realize he married a ten years younger woman when he was 28. Ewww.

by Anonymousreply 42June 24, 2025 10:10 PM

I've never heard of him or his songs. And I'm not a youngin' either, I'm almost 50.

by Anonymousreply 43June 24, 2025 10:12 PM

Kinda looks like a pre-junkie Elvis.

by Anonymousreply 44June 24, 2025 10:12 PM

[R8] I think R6 was making a play on words commenting on Bobby being the last of the Bolt brothers from "Here Come the Brides". Just a guess.

by Anonymousreply 45June 24, 2025 10:13 PM

Loved Bobby on "Brides" but was annoyed with his character's stutter all the time. I'm sure Bobby was annoyed too but a paycheck is a paycheck.

by Anonymousreply 46June 24, 2025 10:14 PM

R40 kinda sad. When I was 8, I wanted Guy Williams, Kent McCord, James Brolin or Randolph Mantooth. 🤷🏻‍♂️

by Anonymousreply 47June 24, 2025 10:14 PM

Oh yea, Kent McCord. So cute

by Anonymousreply 48June 24, 2025 10:23 PM

He was sooooooo dreamy 🙇‍♀️
Boomers dropping like flies.

R25, you do realize Baby Boomers span 1946 to 1964, right?

by Anonymousreply 50June 24, 2025 10:42 PM
Boomers dropping like flies.

Bobby Sherman, Brian Wilson, Lou Christie and Sly Stone weren’t boomers.

by Anonymousreply 51June 24, 2025 10:44 PM

Well, he was no Davy Jones. But sad anyways.

by Anonymousreply 52June 24, 2025 11:39 PM

So I guess he was not heterosexual.

by Anonymousreply 53June 24, 2025 11:50 PM

R53 He had two sons and a wife?

by Anonymousreply 54June 25, 2025 12:31 AM

R43, consider yourself lucky

by Anonymousreply 55June 25, 2025 1:03 AM

He had nice hair, but he couldn't live forever.

RIP sweet baby

by Anonymousreply 56June 25, 2025 1:10 AM
I've never heard of him or his songs. And I'm not a youngin' either, I'm almost 50.

His recording career was pretty much over by the early '70s, before you were born. But he was very popular in the (very) late '60s & (very) early '70s.
Predictions for the next two celebrity deaths-Hector Elizondo and Michael Learned

In a murder-suicide pact?

by Anonymousreply 58June 25, 2025 1:14 AM

Yes, R45. Actually, he was the last surviving member of the entire main cast. Even the female leads pre-deceased him.

Jason Bolt (Robert Brown)

Jeremy Bolt (Bobby Sherman)

Joshua Bolt (David Soul)

Aaron Stempel (Mark Lenard)

Candace "Candy" Pruitt (Bridget Hanley)

by Anonymousreply 63June 25, 2025 2:47 AM

It's odd that Bobby Sherman, known as a singer did not sing the wonderful catchy opening theme song "Seattle" to "Here Come the Brides".

"The bluest skies you've ever seen are in Seattle!"

by Anonymousreply 64June 25, 2025 3:01 AM

"You know why I love Bobby Sherman? Because he cares about people, but also about nature and ecology."

by Anonymousreply 75June 25, 2025 5:50 AM
Didn’t realize he married a ten years younger woman when he was 28. Ewww.

Gay men who marry women tend to do that since women their own age can see right into the closet in which they're living.

by Anonymousreply 76June 25, 2025 8:36 AM
And thus passes the last living connection to Miss Joan Blondell.

Only if you exclude the surviving cast members of the movie version of "Grease."

by Anonymousreply 77June 25, 2025 9:16 AM

by Anonymousreply 85June 25, 2025 9:24 PM

r95, you're confusing Jane Wyatt with the character she played on Star Trek, Spock's mother Amanda (aka "She Who is My Wife"), who on the show was married to Mark Lenard's character, Sarek.

They were not really married in real life.

by Anonymousreply 86June 26, 2025 3:12 AM

I didn’t confuse anything. You confused my sarcasm with your literalism.

Except all the still-living actors who were in Grease and The Champ, of whom there are many.
