Mistral CEO says AI's biggest threat is people getting lazy

Mmm, French excellence. A more cookie-smelling photo inside the article.

[quote]Arthur Mensch has warned that artificial intelligence's biggest threat isn't job displacement but rather "deskilling," as people may become progressively lazier when relying on AI to search for information without critically evaluating its output. Mensch, a former Google DeepMind researcher who co-founded Mistral AI in 2023, articulates a nuanced position on AI's impact that contrasts with more alarmist views in the tech industry.

R1. The photo seems to have caught him at an exceptionally good angle. He doesn't always look like that.

Deskilling is a key part of DL threads these days.

All three of Mistral's co-founders look vaguely homosexuel.

OP- define the look of "smelling cookies". I'm not seeing it in your pic.

He looks femmy, okay.

The threesome just looks French. (Just like Southern frat boys in pink shirts and bow ties look gay, but aren't--mostly. Think Tucker Carlson, eewww).

I had a weird phone call with a bot recently. I had to call the Water Dept. to order installation of one of their new meters. I was talking to this woman who sounded completely real: inflections, vocal fry, etc. When I asked an offbeat question it got confused.

I called back the same no. to confirm the appt. and got another bot. I was able to confirm, but then she said, "Excuse me?" and the phone went dead.

I don't see any cookie smelling, but he is very hot.

So the US may lose the ability to think critically? Who would notice?
