He CUTE. I would not mind sweltering underground with that reporter.
I'm underwhelmed.
He's quite bland.

Yeah, he's cute. British-cute, but cute nonetheless. That temperature he's showing (33°C!) is crazy, I would just die. However, if you look at the humidity levels, they're all on the lower side and nowhere near the uncomfortable (60%+) range. So I guess it's not that bad.
But what is that profile photo?

Wow, London looks absolutely miserable in the Summer.
Why haven't they installed air conditioning in these public transportation areas, yet???
Climate change is real. London is no longer as cool as it used to be in the Summer.
Time to modernize their public areas, and start installing air conditioning EVERYWHERE.
There's no excuse to make people suffer like that.

The temperatures for the week will be mostly in the low 80s in London. They'll get no sympathy from me.

I was in London exactly a year ago and for a couple of days the temperature was in the low 80s —not bad in most places but unbearable in a London with little air-conditioning. Everything there was too hot, I thought I would faint in the British Museum, hung out in the few galleries there that were air-conditioned. Theaters and restaurants were okay, but the tube definitely was not. Luckily the heat broke after two days.

He's very cute. I fancy a shag with him or whatever they call it.

Just missed this heat wave as I was in London 2 weeks ago and the weather was mostly at a comfortable 80 degrees or less. But even then the tube could be sweltering and airless so we took buses (or cabs!) more often.
From now on I'll try and get there in either April or October.

R3, the old tunnels and general design mean there is nowhere for the heat generated by aircon to dissipate. It could just end up making it worse. I am sure I read something about the clay soil also storing heat which is generated. Anyway, it isn’t straight forward.

It’s 92 F in Manhattan at 9:30 am.
Brits are pussies.

He's cute, but he looks like a Hobbit in the photo at R2.

He's OK for you, OP

33°C is equal to 91.4°F. Not really newsworthy-hot for most of the US but for Britain that must be unreal heat.

Once on the London Underground I was in a crammed carriage and pressed up against a workman's armpit all the way home.
It was the best commute I've ever had.

The worst part of these heatwaves for me isn't the heat per se, it's this damn haze I'm in the whole day long because of it. I drink so much water and take electrolytes, so I know it's not due to dehydration. I'm never fully lucid when it's sweltering hot and I hate it.

He looks sort of goobery

He's ok looking enough for me to lick his hot sweaty balls.

R16- Sit down we need to talk.
You ARE a WHORE darlin.

I lived in London for twelve years. Summers tend to be very hot, and it can make the Underground extremely uncomfortable. My worst experience with the heat was when the packed tube train I was travelling on broke down for an hour. People were fainting and screaming, and I was drenched in sweat. Afterwards I was so dehydrated it affected my vision.

I have the same experience as r18. Once London warms up there is no relief from the heat. Those houses heat up during the day and then the walls radiate heat throughout the night. It's like sleeping in a pizza oven!

That's why we all retreat to the Cotswolds and the Devon shore!

I'll be in London for 8 days in November. I hope Harry Low can show me his tube. Anyone know how I can reach him?
