Dermot Mulroney Files for Divorce from Wife Prima Apollinaare, Requests Spousal Support

While the pair has not fully established “the nature and extent” of assets, Mulroney stated that “all community earnings and accumulation during marriage through the date of separation” will be considered community property.

Mulroney and Apollinaare started dating in 2008 and welcomed their first daughter that same year. Shortly after, they had their second daughter before officially tying the knot in December 2010.

The couple first bonded over their shared love for music — along with acting, Mulroney is a professional cellist with credits in movies such as Planet of the Apes and some in the Mission: Impossible franchise, and Apollinaare is a singer-songwriter.

Apollinaare, who changed her name from Tharita Cutulle for unknown reasons in 2015, is originally from Italy. Although she hasn't shared much about her childhood, she has said that music was always her passion.

"[I] got into music since I was born," the songstress told the music label Lost In The Manor in 2023. "My mom is a singer. My dad played Trumpet and piano."

She has also joined her soon-to-be ex on some of his film projects. In 2010, she was listed as one of Mulroney's producing partners for a biopic he was set to direct, per the Associated Press (via The Hollywood Reporter).

Later that same year, Mulroney revealed to the New York Post that Apollinaare was not a fan of his horror movies, like Scream IV.

“I don’t think she’ll probably even see this movie because I know what her tolerance is,” he said. “She can’t even look at half of the posters.”

All I know is that I hung out with Catherine Keener in a quietish corner at a private party at a club in LA in 2005, right exactly when they had or were about to separate. Catherine didn't say too too much negative stuff about him (he's the father of her son Clyde) but I am pretty sure he strayed. I forget exactly what was disclosed because it was 20 years ago, but it made me decide that I didn't care for him so much.

I’ve been a fan of his for a long time. But it’s been a while. I was a big fan in the 90s after catching him in the film BRIGHT ANGEL, and soon tracked down everything I could find on him and became a little obsessed. LOL!

I also thought Katherine Keener was incredibly cool and they were the best couple. Then they broke up and I was sad. Time was moving on.

I always thought his older appearance was because that’s how his body was aging and he wasn’t really concerned with looking eternally youthful or playing the celebrity game.
